Anyone else experience this?
I got some Truvia to try out and made a pitcher of lemonade and later in the evening had terrible gastric trouble. Belching, bloating, gas and then diarrhea.
All night long.Still bloated the next day.
I looked it up and it’s rare but can happen. Possibly because I have IBS.
I know many of us are prone to gastric problems , so be careful if you try it for the first time.

I've never experienced GI side effects from stevia, but did read that there was a study that came out of the Cleveland Clinic recently proposing a link between stevia and cardiovascular problems, like strokes and blood clots. So, that was enough to make me want to start avoiding it.

Yes, I've had something similar happen. The first time I used Truvia I got really bloated and had stomach cramps for the rest of the night. I later realized it wasn't necessarily the stevia leaf itself but the erythritol (the sugar alcohol they blend it with) that was causing the issue. Some people are very sensitive to sugar alcohols, especially if you already have IBS or a sensitive gut

/\ I plan on avoiding it from now on.
MSG is problematic for me , (not as bad as the stevia reaction)so I steer clear of it also.
So glad I wasn’t out in public when it kicked in.

That’s not good. Another reason to not use it. They act like it’s perfectly safe.
