I've figured something else out- my dreadful paranoid feelings/thoughts only happen right when I wake up, if I'm currently anxious, and in the evening. My anxiety follows the same pattern as well. I don't know if this mean anything, since the feeling and the thoughts combined feel entirely like actual paranoia. I don't think I believe the thoughts, but the feeling is so weird- it's almost like I'm paranoid but I'm not. Like I'll get a thought like "My mom is against me" or some crap and I won't believe it, but the weird paranoid feeling prevents me from not feeling "safe" anymore of something like that.

I will now list all the possible reasons why I don't have prodromal schizophrenia (mainly just to make myself feel a little better  )

- There is no history of any psychotic disorder in my family
- I have never been through any trauma or bad environment
- I have never taken drugs or alcohol
- My father wasn't old when my parents had me
- I never had a paranoid thought in my life before I looked it up
- I tell everybody all my symptoms (a schizophrenic most likely wouldn't)
- I don't hallucinate (although I do worry about it!)
- I don't think my thinking/writing is disorganized, but I can't really judge
- I passed the hollow mask illusion (PLEASE DO NOT LOOK IT UP IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF THIS IT GAVE ME NIGHTMARES FOR WEEKS! 8O ) I still worry that I won't pass it now.
- I worry about getting schizophrenia
- I have at least some insight
- My "symptoms" of schizophrenia come and go
- I am not socially withdrawn (I am here as well as around family all day)

Doing a little bit worse right now :?

You have a great deal of insight, in many senses of the word. I've enjoyed reading your intelligent, well organized posts. :)

I wish you an awesome time at camp BTW. Not sure if you want to talk about the camp here, but I'd be curious since I went to camp as a kid also.

Thank you :D . I just hope I can retain that insight!

Thanks again- I am not going to a stay away camp or anything, but I will let you all know how it goes :D . My brother is going too.

That's a good check list , sadly my list is a lot lot shorter

Of course I had to check out the hollow mask because the warning was so strong , morbid curiosity

I don't understand the theory ? Is it that if when the mask is reversed it still looks like its sticking towards you. And if you are schizophrenic you just see as a double sided head and don't realize it's a mask and is an optical illusion ?

Oh come on, Ferris  ! I told you all not to check it out!

If you see the nose sticking out towards you, you're normal. If you see that it is an optical illusion, you could be psychotic or have some sort of vision impairment.

Another thing I have noticed about my OCD is that it can convince me of something that isn't even happening. For example, I've never hallucinated (unless you count the "normal" kind), but I can easily convince myself I am, that is, until I get reassurance and then I never worry about it ever again lol!

The camp wasn't as good as last year, but it's ok. I honestly miss the old one, though :( .

Has anyone seen Ferris recently?

The thing is with me you could of said "DO NOT CLINK ON THIS LINK IF YOU ARE PSYCHOTIC AS IT WILL BE DAMAGING" - I would of clicked it just to find out

Yey , I passed the test  Although I think If you see that it is not an optical illusion ( I think you missed out the word 'not' ) . Other people who fail this test could be high or drunk , so some people on medication might fail it too ( just a guess )

Yeah , but the illusion stops just as the other side of the mask comes into view. I found a page where there are more illusions if you want to make yourself feel better https://blog.allpsych.com/optical-illus ... zophrenia/

I can't find an example of the 3 flash illusion test though

Don't you realize what this means!! !! !! !! !! !! !!?! !! !??! !??

No schizophrenic has ever seen the nose stick out before! Ferris isn't psychotic! I was right hehe!

Of course the illusion comes back in to view when it comes back around  ! I hate illusions like those- they scare me half to death! Probably won't look at that link- I think I've seen it and failed one of them before 8O . It was the one with the arrows. But my point is, the Hollow Mask Illusion is basically the golden standard from what I've read. Some "normal" people don't see the nose stick put, but from what I've seen no schizophrenic has ever passed before :D !

Don't give me any ideas  .
