Pregabalin

Hello. I was wondering if anyone out there had even used Pregabalin.
As I have read that it is commonly prescribed for people with Generalised Anxiety Disorder who can not take or has not responded to SSRI's.

I would be really interested in learning as to whether Pregabalin is effective for anxiety and if so, how does it work and how does it feel?

I never took Pregabalin but I take Neurontin & Pregabalin is kinda like a more potent version of Neurontin. The company made Pregabalin after the patent for Neurontin expired. Neurontin helps my OCD but it doesn't help my anxiety thou some have noticed it helps with anxiety. Neurontin affects GABA which can have an effect on OCD & anxiety.
I take the med Buspar for my anxiety & it helps alot. It's the only med specially for anxiety & it's not an antidepressant or a benzodiazepine. I don't notice side-effects but some have noticed some. It can be taken with lots of psych meds including antidepressants, bezos & Pregabalin.

I believe that the medication is an anticonvulsive but which is now very commonly used to treat anxiety.

It is a anticonvulvant
It does effect gaba just like benzodiazepines
But you wont built a rolerance very fast.
Yes it helps whit anxiety but the side effects sucks
I would take a benzo whit dxm(to slow down tolerance)

I took a pregabalin pill of 50mg that I found because I was desperate. It seemed to help a lot with my anxiety, it made me feel peaceful. It could have just been the placebo effect though...

Nuerontin... it stopped anxiety FAST like a benzodiazapine but I went back to Sanctioned Suicide after two year absence...so uncoordinated it increased my need for caregiving help like the grocery store but adult services not there. Psychiatrist removed ativan which I took 1-2 times a month...don't drink or do drugs. Her answer to autistic anxiety solution she felt was safer for 90 pills of gabapentin for autistic + DBT.
