question about online test

Just curious: many of you might have taken that online test for personality disorders. What exactly is meant by "do you have odd beliefs?" What is an odd belief supposed to be? Obviously I don't my beliefs are odd, but others might. Not sure how I am supposed to know this though. Juuust curious.

I've come across such a test, though I don't know whether it's the same one you're referring to or not. Considering what they're testing for, I'm pretty sure they're referring to beliefs that most ordinary people would find odd. In particular, things that many people would consider irrational or unrealistic rather than just uncommon.

I suppose that's not a terribly helpful answer, though...

Some examples might be believing aliens have visited the Earth, being extremely superstitious, believing you're being observed (without strong evidence), etc. It covers a lot of ground, but they're things other people would not usually take seriously or might tell you are unreasonable.

As far as I'm concerned, most conspiracy theories are nothing more than odd beliefs (and often quite less).

If you think that people are spying you through satellites could be an odd belief.
