What do you call someone like me who is bright but not all that smart? I know a lot of very trivial information and enough to get by to make me look like a genius around people who are neither bright nor smart.
I want one of these:
http://flowstateengaged.com/I e-mailed them stating they better be on the level or I'll be sorely disappointed.
Before I get one, I need to know a few things and know I'm putting my full faith into one of these so if you're going to be all, "you're wasting your money", I don't want to hear it.
I need a map of the brain and what the regions do. I don't know if the cathodes and anodes are positionable but if they are, I want to focus on problem solving, mathematics, pattern recognition and memory recall. Maybe more if if proves to be fruitful.
I need to establish some kind of testing criteria to see if it is indeed working. Journals, testing every day, maybe a few times a day, while wearing it, while not wearing it, on and off my Ritalin. Do it an hour or two a day for a month and then stop for a month...
I've been thinking about various ways to learn. I could do visual - reading, watching movies, documentaries and the like. I could listen to audio books and whatnot. I was thinking that a quick way might be to subject myself to the myriad of flashes or screens before me like in some brainwashing or conditioning films where the subject is sit in front of a battery of monitors each with something showing on it. "Street Fighter - The Movie", Guns n' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle" and Robot Chicken's opening title sequence are examples of this.
What I'm looking for from you is input as to what means of dumping information into my brain would be the best where I can retain it better and put it to good use. And if you know of a map of the brain and what the regions do in terms of language, speech, fine motor control, vision etc. do, I'd appreciate it.
You can get every single piece of a car engine and lay them out in order of size but it doesn't matter how much you polish them, the car still won't run...
