I'm getting Bupropion since a view months now because of ADD symptoms. We started with 150 mg what didn't really helped and how I'm getting 300 mg since a while and it really started to help against my ADD symptoms. :)
Not complitely I guess, but I was okay with it.

So now I noticed since two or three weeks that I start to shift away in a phantasy like state and since one week it's getting worse. It's close to delusional, but still on a phantasy level. :(

I guess that's because of the Bupropion, because a while before that I started to take 300 mg and when I have "phantasy like states" they don't last that long...

So now I'm afrait that when I tell that my psychiatrist that I've to quit with Bupropion and my ADD symptoms are comming back and they were worse. :(
So is there any other option? :?
I dunno what to do....

if the fantasy state doesn't interfere with your functioning, you're probably okay to keep it to yourself. delusions can definitely be a bupropion side effect. if they're bothersome, stimulants and straterra are options for your ADHD.

I've been on Wellbutrin for depression and ADHD, and it seemed to help a little bit for both. The doctor who Rx'ed it said that it's a "third-line" treatment for ADHD. I used to be on meds like Adderall when I was younger for ADHD, and that helped, but there's newer meds out there. I've heard people talk nicely about Vyvanse, which is a stimulant that lasts almost the whole day. There's good options for you :)

I feel kind of "cloudy" in my head because of that what's a bit annoying but the ADD symptoms were a lot worse. Sometimes I've slight problems what's real or not. I just worry that it could get worse...

I never had a real psychotic episode but it's not the first time that I think I've symptoms in that direction. I'm not dx in that direction but I guess I'm schizotypal or something else on the schizophrenic spectrum. My half-brother had schizophrenia, so there is a high propability that I've traits of that, my psychiatrist allready warned me that there is a possibility that I might get side effects in that direction.

I don't seem to come along with many psychiatric meds, actually with most of them. :(

This seems to be a question for a psychiatrist.

I'll first see him i think end of january and until then I still would like to know how serious this is/can get so that i know if i have to see him earlier or if this isn't necessery and so on and i always inform myself about meds I'm getting or meds that are avalable. My psychiatrist even always asks me what I want and think... and if my choice is a bad one he tells me and if he thinks it's an option we try it if he agrees. He never forces me to take any meds that I don't want, just tells me when he thinks it would be necessery and so on and usually we find an option we both can agree on.

I'll talk to my psychiatrist about it on January 7th (I thought I would see him earlier, but "no") and talk to him about it. Because it got worse every day I decided to take it every second day until I see him.

Now I talked to my psychiatrist and now I officially reduced Bupropion. I told him that I've reduced Bupropion myself since January 1st and he gave me the 150mg Elontril (Bupropion). I took 300mg before. My symptoms are better since I've reduced Bupropion. I'll see my psychiatrist again end of the month to see how it's going with the meds.
