Do some people with down syndrome sound almost German when they speak?
It kinda sounds that way to me.

Nope....

They have speech problems because their tongues are too large for their mouth.

They also have less motor control than people without trisomy-21.

The only ones who have "German" accents are the ones whose first (and possibly only) language is German.

I don't hear any German accents from speakers who have Down's. I just hear lax speech muscles and a tongue that is too large as Kraftie and Fnord said.
