I started taking fluoxetine two weeks ago and in that time I've lost 2kg. I haven't had any change really in my appetite and didn't get nausea or any physical side effects except for getting heartburn if I don't drink loads of water when I take it. I'm taking it for bulimic symptoms, anxiety and recurrent depressive episodes. I binge ate a few days ago and responded by not eating anything for one day and only 1k calories for a second but that's so recent it can't be the reason for the weight loss. I think it might be because I used to basically always eat until I felt kind of sick and the meds allowed me to not do that but it still is super fast. Has anyone else had a similar experience, especially if you are dealing with similar issues. I've found it has helped my anxiety SO much but unfortunately has made my eating disorder worse (my newfound motivation isn't so great when I react to binging by starving myself but can now commit to it) and I get more intrusive thoughts so far but they don't make me as upset as they used to. Still overall I feel so much better but am wondering if anyone relates.

I have long had a relationship with food that equates to “I’d rather be plugged in to power up” than eat. I’ve always been very athletic. In a bid to find the healthiest, most effective way to keep a constant and healthy existence, I’ve adopted a keto diet ... just because it makes me feel good and keeps me feeling healthy, more energised. The benefits I’ve experienced since taking it to now(2 years later), anxiety-wise is so huge, I hope to never come off it. I’m very happy with my figure generally. As you know, I too am on fluoxetine(prozac). Sorry to hear it’s making it easier for you to continue with unhealthy thoughts/habits.
