wrong litterbox

Yesterday, I overheard Hardware Associate GM (he is not in leadership, he is not a supervisor or manager. he does not outrank me), tell someone "sir, you need to get out of the women's bathroom." (something like that).

A couple months ago, Hardware Associate GM, Customer Service Lead DH, and Paint Associate LR were talking about how they refused to use preferred pronouns.

​When I was 24-26 and 36-42, took testosterone to transition to male. Been working at Home Depot for barely over five years. GM, according to a sign on the wall, has been working there 29 years. According to a sign on the wall, LR has been working there 20 years. Every day I work, been going to the litterbox a couple times a day. Must've seen GM, LR or DH or ARH there at least a couple times. They have not had the nerve to tell me that i was in the wrong litterbox.

Cashier ZRT has been working there two years. ZRT is a male to female transsexual and (i think) looks and sounds a lot more like a cisgender male than a cisgender female. ZRT goes to the women's litterbox.

i just feel like i should've tattled on GM to the boss. for all GM knows, he might've kicked a transsexual out of the women's litterbox.

on the other hand, home depot attracts a disproportionate number of contractors with felony convictions and psychiatric diagnoses. so, granted, yes, it could've been a cisgender male looking for women to rape.

Transitioned male -> female. While it became 'official' when I already worked here, I did interview and start already female. (sort of a running joke I never came out to these people but at least to my face I'm considered female )

Some months ago I was chased out of the man's room, didn't even know we had separate 'sort of oblivious to surroundings'. On beproud meetings (lgbt belgian government people) I even told them we already have gender neutral restrooms. One of the organizers works in this same building but nobody told me Wonder how many believed me or thought I was full of crap...

Sort of ok that it was in the right direction but to prevent further issues (or worse... the other way around... or usa 'biological' when technically I am born 'none of the above') I am retraining highschool style to just not need it. Unhealthy but not planning on living too long anyway.

I just feel so scared and uncomfortable working in the same building as so many homophobic precious lil "people" with psychiatric diagnoses and felony convictions

Home Depot has a lot of security guards and standby cops, but cops sometimes literally reading the newspaper

Cops are sometimes the worst... They have their nest quite close to rainbow house Brussels and while regular passers by just... pass by... they often feel the need to comment and joke. Just public and obvious enough to make their point. They do have their lgbt section but in general, no help at all.
They try. Publicly and officially they try. But they are just normal people and trained to dislike be wary of anything that is different.
