I did go through some phases where there were artists I'd listen to over and over and over. These include The Police, System Of A Down, Iron Maiden, The Who, Peter Gabriel, Sting and Zebra. There were also songs I listened to over and over and over and over - and I still do. These include:
1. Turn It On Again - Genesis
2. Love Bites - Def Leppard
3. Age Of Aquarius - Fifth Dimension
4. What A Fool Believes - Doobie Brothers
5. Feeling Stronger Every Day - Chicago

I usually am always listening to one band a lot and looking up a lot of information regarding them...but it changes often between my 160 bands.

Last one was O'Brother and the one before that was In Flames.

also I realise when I said "they had to give loads of people their money back" was not as literal as it transpired in the post.

Basically this happened: http://youtu.be/tPLib5dI17E

and they made an announcement saying that if people requested they could get their money back by applying for it from the promotion company.

Front Line Assembly
Allied Vision
Godflesh + anything by Justin Broadrick
Meshuggah
Skinny Puppy
Numb (the industrial band)
Dalek
Swans
My own stuff (It's why I make it, leave me alone!)

I find it hard to obsess over bands, but these would be the ones that are exceptions and seem to make me obsessive.

Obsessing over bands (or albums) is my speciality. This is when I am at my happiest.
I wish it happened more often. I begin to see a pattern emerging - it happens intensly about 2-3 times a year, with a new band.

Im not onto anything right now, just calming down from my late 90's Blur phase following to Graham Coxon.
It was my obsession with the The Vines a year ago that bought me to wrong planet in the first place .
Theres more albums than bands though for me.

Fleet Foxes. Even though I'm old enough to be their mom. To the point where my son's first words were "Feet Focket". Actually, he jsut said "Focket" at first and I thought, "Great, his first word would be a cussword." But then he said "Feet Focket" while they were on the radio and I realized what he was really saying. :D Oh, and I consider October 3 the best day of 2011 because I got to see them live and met Robin, Casey and Morgan!! !!
