I love Drum N Bass & Old School Jungle! Shy FX, Ganja Kru, Adam F, Goldie, DJ Zinc etc- I'm also a big fan of Dubstep & Grime :) before that I was really into punk, reggae and ska! I was born in the late eighties so I'm not old enough to remember Acid House, Hardcore or Jungle but I love the music from that era! without Reggae and Jungle there would be no Grime, Dubstep or UKG-

I like the current generation of DnB; Danny Byrd, Sigma, High Contrast, Sub Focus etc. but i think Pendulum are over rated! I like Pendulum's first album and the track they made with FreeStylers (and I have met MC SirReal) but their second and third albums are pretty mediocre.

(*was?* I still love Punk, Reggae & Ska!)

I'm white and I love black british music & Reggae Sound System culture, that's the beautiful thing- colour doesn't seem to matter anymore! drum n bass is a multicultural genre :)

I really like this. It's got a very sad vibe to it.

Really? I figured it as kinda somber, maybe in a mystical/exploratory kind of direction.

Another tune that I've been hyped on since....last summer maybe? Really love the way this one plods... the mixdown is sick as well.

That song reminds me of the late night train trips from night lessons. Good times.

This is a good example of a sub genre in DnB called Liquid Funk, one of my favorite genres in music. This is probably their most well known song.

I highly recommend Black Sun Empire to listen to, this is one of their newer tracks.

Good tune, but the singing kind of ruins it for me. :(

The DnB stuff I like tends to have slippery jazz/funk rhythms with very deep/eerie bass progressions in the background. Like the Matrix // Fierce - Climate track I posted on the previous page. It seems most of the newer stuff is more "techno" and less jazzy.

I do like the jazzy side but it was initially the dark rolling techstep like older/darker Ed Rush, Optical, John B, Dillinja, Fierce, RAM Trilogy, Future Forces, etc. before any of those guys went bright/synthetic/clown-steppy.

Haven't heard this in a while and the mood just hit me. :)
