I love Nu metal. Two of my favorite bands are Nu metal bands. They are Linkin Park and Microwave. I've liked Linkin Park since I first heard them on MTV when I was 9 in 2002. I've only been listening to Microwave for the past year, but I describe them as Vietnam's LP because their style is very similar. The singer even sounds and looks like a Vietnamese version of Chester Bennington. They stopped making Nu Metal songs with their second album sort of like how LP stopped after Meteora. They don't rap in all of their songs, mainly because rapping in Vietnamese is quiet difficult. It's hard to make rhyming sentences in Vietnamese, so usually, they just freestyle it.

There's also Cells from Laos and Clash from Thailand. I don't like them as much because I guess I don't like the sound of the language as much. The thai and Lao have an easier time rapping because their languages(which are related to each other) are like Chinese in that one word can mean different things depending on how you pronounce it.

I like the Vietnamese and Thai bands a lot; they have a very unique sound because of their languages. Here's Louna, another Russian nu metal band that I actually discovered just the other night.

Louna formed out of the ashes of Traktor Bowling, incidentally.

Yeah. Mostly off-topic, but what's with talented famous people dying at or around 28, anyway?

Kurt Cobain
Brandon Lee
Casey Calvert
Heath Ledger
The Reverend

Just to name a few.

Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin at 27.

Yeah, me too. Quite possibly the most underrated band ever.

i doubt nu metal will make a comeback honestly. i think rock has died out (which really makes me sad) and is being replaced by that lady gaga and katy perry stuff i hear on the radio all the time

Sadly, I have to agree for the most part. Hard rock and alternative metal are getting harder to find on the radio, except for some stations that play it almost exclusively. It seems like generic pop, rap, and hip hop are taking over the airways and what used to be good music.

I think it's because the late 20s are when most depressed people start getting hopeless and disilluisoned or overwhelmed about life. Untill then most have optimism to keep them going.

what you say may be true as those who were in high school when nu metal was at its most popular are in their mid to late 20s and early 30s now
