Yes there is. It has twenty amendments.

Here is the bill of rights:

I. All religion is to be practiced freely, and all speech is to be free
II. Any citizen living within the bounds of the Creedon Republic is allowed to own a firearm.
III. All soldiers are to be quartered in their own barracks, and not in the confines of one's dwelling.
IV. Private property is to be respected and not infringed upon without consent
V. All men and women are to be treated as equals.
VI.Right to counsel, public trial, rights of the accused
VII. Right to a trial by jury.
VIII. All cruel and unusual punishment is banned within the bounds of the Creedon Republic
VIX. Protection of rights not specifically enumerated in the Constitution.
X. The states have power to govern themselves and themselves only.
XI. All citizens of the Republic have the right to suffrage at age 18.
XII. Excessive bail is prohibited.

So, what do Peterians think of other cities in the state? We asked about nine cities in Peter State, and here are the answers:

Nyack: "My god, can those people get any more uncivilized? What's even out there? Nothing?"

Columnist: Actually, the Blodgett Weapon Company is out there, and Nyack is really a cosmopolitan place; maybe if you left the five boroughs you'd go see Nyack is a great place.
Gregstown: "It's on a really big lake." "Ummm, I think my aunt is from there." "Never heard of it."
Columnist: One of the major cities in the upstate. It's on Lake Quanapowwit. A famous person from there is perhaps the ex-wife of one of our military leaders.

Waifersburg: "What's a waifer?" "Gasp! Aren't they poor?" "Nothing's out there."

Columnist: You'd think Waifersburg is poor and destitute, but you'd be wrong. There's a thriving business there, and it's close to the York border. We have no idea what a waifer is, either.

Bukatersboro: "Who's Bukater?" "Wasn't he that 'mad Dutchman'?" "I think it's on a lake." "That's the admiral's family. Why do they get a city?"

Columnist: During the early years, Cornelius Bukater; the so called "Mad Dutchman" settled in this area. There is a lake there, which abounds in water skiing and boating.

New Quincy: "Gross!" "There's some river there called Loopstra." "So that's where all the Creedonian Firs have gone." "They have a weird street pattern." "They have a trailer park there called QUINCY TRAILERS."

Columnist: Yes, lumbering was big there. Now if you can believe this, but tourism is the hot ticket now.

Saint Henryboro: "Its got Garrison Lake!" "I get my drugs from there." "Coburn Street: The best party street in the state!" "Tough cops."

Columnist: Yes, St. Henryboro does have Garrison Lake and a big party scene. The police force there likes to crack down on underage drinking.

Fall River: "Oh boy, that's a can of worms." "Dude, like there was a chick there that killed her parents with an axe bro!"

Columnist: Oh yes everyone's heard of that, but can we really say that that is what Fall River is famous for? Our admiral lived there and was married there back in '90. He rented a place on Durfee Street.

New Bedford: "New Beige." "Portugese town." "Nasty drunkards who fish the seas." "No suitors." "Bad aerodrome." "Cape Air flies from there." "A majority of children's ready to wear clothes come from there, including under-things."

Columnist: Ah, New Bedford. The city is home to several clothing companies. The corset business is setting up there, although with whaling banned, what are they going to use for boning? A majority of your fish passes through New Bedford.

Taunton: "Two words: Mental Hospital." "What do they do to those autistic children there?" "The city of Taunton: City of evil." "People who live in Taunton are cruel."

Columnist: During the Burgess Administration of 1888-1896, a great scandal arose: Autistic children who were at Taunton State Hospital, were physically abused by the doctors and staff. Taunton is now trying to put its past behind it.

Tuesday February 14th, 1896


Well this winter sure has had its share of snow. Most of our metropolitan area is covered in it. With the surprise shot of snow we had late last night and most of today, I now can say meteorology is a field riddled with surprises. This morning's snow was certainly a surprise to me, especially as I left my flat this morning on East 114th Street. I mean is this really what I asked for? This was a nice valentine left by Mother Nature. I've heard reports from people on Cape Cod and the islands saying that this was originally mentioned in passing from the National Weather Bureau, and only early yesterday evening it got mentioned.

So as you take your sweetheart out for dinner this evening, be sure to take a moment and thank Mother Nature for her little gift. I'm sure she'll appreciate it. I know that as my wife and I prepare to celebrate our fourth anniversary, we'll keep in mind the snow.

I love this. You should write a book about all this.

In case you’ve been kept under a rock or in a broom closet, you should by now have heard the news that Admiral Samuel A. Bukater has lost a child. We live in an age where we simply cannot get any privacy. Within the hour of little Alice’s death, the media in Philadelphia was in wall to wall coverage of the event. With his wife expecting another child, this is simply something she doesn’t need to deal with. A month before her fourth birthday, Alice had pretty much everything going for her. Take my advice: leave the family alone to grieve in peace. You wouldn’t want me to come snooping around your door bothering your family would you? If you said yes, then either you must be stupid or just plainly ignorant.

Looking outside today, one could hardly tell there was a hurricane coming. The Hurricane Centre in Nantucket has been tracking a particularly nasty hurricane named Bob. Aside from a few whisps of cirrus here and there, people are going about their business like normal; haberdashers selling their hats to men, and the ferries running on a normal schedule. Predictions state that the hurricane will come ashore somewhere in the state of Rhode Island, most likely near Newport; where our naval fleet is stationed. Our readers on Cape Cod and the islands should begin to take their precautions because simply put, time is running out.

All of this reminds me of a similar hurricane six years ago, only that time her name was Gloria. The media hyped up Gloria's arrival, only for the hurricane's performance to fall flat as it crossed Connecticut and Peter State. Unlike Gloria, Bob is showing no signs of weakening. This morning, the eye was measured as being twenty miles across. From my summer home in Truro I can see the water from both sides of the hill I live on. During Gloria we were almost blown away, as the hill has no trees and is exposed. I'm hoping Bob spares Truro, but one can never tell with hurricanes.

In case you're considering trans-Atlantic travel, most companies are still sailing as of Noon today. Cunard is reporting that the RMS Umbria has been delayed until Tuesday and will leave at 12 Noon. White Star Line is reporting no delays. All air service to the islands from General Creedon International is still operating as scheduled today;but as for tomorrow when winds reach 35 mph, all flights will be canceled. Check with your air carrier before flying. Cape Air is very good about posting arrival and departure times at the airport.

Ackman Please tell us more about Elias Creedon, about whom he married and how many children he had, what was their life like back then.

I had Irish Ancestors who also came to that area and lived.

I'd like to know about Creedonian fashions.
