Your favorite chord
Right now I think my favorite is a dominant 7th b9th chord voiced to include the 6th. As in 1-7 / 3-6-b9. So C-Bb-E-A-Db. It can sound deliciously jarring in the right context.
minMaj7 chords are cool too. I love Horace Silver's tune "Nica's Dream" which begins by alternating between Bb minMaj7 and Ab minMaj7.

I have no idea what the chords actual name is but I stumbled upon it probably 10 years ago and I've loved it ever since. You just bar the first fret with your pointer finger, ring finger on 3rd fret and pinky on the 5th fret. Then just either strum the top 4 strings or do an arpeggio. Or you can just leave out the 4th string and play the top 3. It can be moved anywhere on the fret board and it always sounds beautiful.
Which strings on the third and fifth fret? I could probably figure out the chord you're talking about if you give me more info. I believe if you use the second string from top with the fifth fret, then third string from top with the third fret, you get F, D, F, Ab. That would be a "D diminished triad." If you take out the top string it doesn't change much because the third string is doubling the root. If you go ahead and throw in the fifth string from the top, you're playing a C and you get a a very ethereal quality that comes from playing the minor seventh from the D.
I love all the diminished chords because they have that oh-so-pleasing dissonance. Diminished seventh chords are even better.
Sorry about that. Pointer finger on the first fret, E string. Ring finger on the 3rd fret, A string. Pinky finger on 5th fret, D string.
I wish I knew more chord names so its be easier to explain things to people, but its always easier to pick up the guitar and say "it goes like this" *shrugs*

In that case, if I'm not mistaken, you're playing Fsus2 on the top 3 strings and Fminadd9 if you're barring the first fret and playing the top 4 strings.
BTW, that's a very impressive finger stretch to play that chord shape. I don't think I could do it while barring the first fret, even when I played all the time and my fingers were more limber than they are now.

I can't seem to get this strait, lol. Ok, MIDDLE finger on the 3rd fret, A string. Sorry.
If I have my pointer finger on the 1st fret, E string I can only stretch my pinky to the 6th fret A string. My reach isn't all that great considering I have stubby fingers. I do this exercise every now and again that helps build strength and reach in my pinky by just doing hammer on/pulls offs. Its all played on the top string. You just keep your first finger on the 1st fret and just HO/PO as far as you can reach with your pinky, back and forth over and over. And you have to do it fast and clean. I'm not good at explaining things on the guitar so hopefully that makes sense.
