yea, I think the music sucks too(musically and lyrically speaking) but some of my closest friends were juggalo's/juggalettes. A few of them have grown up but like many other stupid subcultures that afflict the youth(yes, it is an affliction), it seems to be an inhibitor of personal growth, and maturity. I was a juggalo poser for about a year in middle school, the music was meh.. but the camaraderie was awesome and I had a lot of fun, plus made some great friends I still keep in contact with.

I just don't see why all the hate has to exist, some people are juggalos....it does not make them stupid or worthless. Don't like the music great I am not a huge fan of it either but its no reason to be a jerk in my opinion. I have no problem with heated music debates but unjustified hatered towards a large group of people based on negative stereotypes about their subculture is not cool.

their dress is aesthetically off-putting, but im fine with it so long as they don't wear the clown makeup... or at least only wear it sparingly, like, when Zug Island comes to town( I think juggalo dress can look good, but they just don't have good taste, and having a good time is more important anyways, which is fine). It is also that this genera attracts a lot of misfits and all their baggage, so the collective mesh is at least half as messed up as the lyrics they relate to.

Most, however, are nice, laidback, and chill though, surprisingly, in my own experience at least, they are not a political bunch. In contrast, a larger percentage of the people I've met who follow hiphop, or punk are - but that may be just me.

hmm yes misfits and their baggage, maybe it was unintentional but that seems a bit judgemental I guess, considering I have veiwed myself as a misfit or outcast or whatever ever since I was old enough to socialize and learn that people don't like you if you're unusual...so I guess I do not feel like I can really control the 'baggage' as you say. And well Its nice when you can find people who don't immeaditly decide to avoid, be rude to, verbally abuse ect. Because you're a misfit.

However, there are definatly a few a**holes who do tend to make the whole sub-culture look bad to some people, which is unfortunate.......but as far as I know they are not the majority.

that's only if you choose to accept the social tone, meaning, and implication that accompany's that term, misfits. The civilized and industrialized world we know today would never have developed and we would be robbed of a great many discoveries and advancements had it not been for aspergers, and we are misfits in this largely NT world. My description was intentional, and there nothing wrong with judging or the act of making a judgment, and besides, to say that there are many great juggalos is to judge... so your issue is with judgment that you do not like.

most people's who don't like juggalos do judge on stereotypes, but those stereotypes are fully lived out in every population of juggalos that you come across, especially in high school. Just as there are social characteristics that define prepdom, or how to act preppy, there are common behaviors and mannerisms that are often seen in most juggalos, and that is not looked on too highly by many outside this subculture. It may be that juggalos suck, or that societies lack of tolerance for the wacky distasteful clown sucks, thats up to you to decide.

A large group of people who actually get to sit down and know a juggalo will acknowledge that there are lot more commonalities then differences, and can identify a juggalo in their own family or friends or someone they know, minus the face paint and juggalo way of behaving. But that humanizing dialog is non-existent.

Fair enough, though it is human nature to judge.....my issue is more with negativley judging and actively hating a group of people based on a few. but yes I personally do not see being a bit different as negative, I just feel society sees that way especially if you are different in that you have a mental disorder or mental illness.

I try not to tell people how much they suck, especially when I could be really putting down someone who maybe does not need to be put down. I guess I take that treat others as you want to be treated thing to heart......but I cannot expect everyone to think that way.

Yes a lot of times it is non existant, it probably should not be though.

RiddleBox is a great album by them...Not all their music is ridiculous, although I will admit a lot of it is. Back when they did the wicked s**t full time though...

Here's Cemetery Girl from RiddleBox as an example. :)

"Tonight, tonight, we gather the dead. (tonight, tonight)
Tonight, tonight, off with your head."

"You'll never guess what's up [3x]
my muckin' head blew up"

[Violent J]
She was lovely, long hair, short, nice figure though
So at the funeral, it made me cry, watch her die
I cannot lie, I couldn't sleep but a wink
I only think about my lady, I miss my baby
I need her by my side, to hold me, to squeeze me

I still have pictures, but all they do is tease me
I see my therapist, he only tells me I'm in trouble
I want my baby back, so now I pack a shovel
And while I'm digging, it's awfully dark and kinda funny
Don't dig too fast or to see things could get bloody
I watch my baby, I hit the top of baby's coffin
I thinking, she's better off inside if she died
Nah, she needs me, I can tell my baby wants me
Cuz every night at 2:15, my baby haunts me
I prey it open, the odor hits me, there she is
I lean down to give her a kiss because I need a...

[Chorus (1x)]
Girl that make me happy, a girl that make me cry
A girl that passed away back in 1985
A girl I plan to marry, a girl I plan to wed
A girl that I can choke because my baby is already dead

[2x]
Cemetery lady, my cemetery girl
Cemetery baby, I want you in my world
Cemetery woman, we can still be down
You're more than just a corpse, to a psychopathic clown

"f**k yeah, Motherf***er
I don't want no stuck up
Little sassy rassy b***h
Ya know what I'm saying
I want me a cold stanky b***h
So bring it on, dead momma"

[Violent J]
She's as lovely as always, my baby hasn't changed
Except for the hole that's in her forehead, you can see her brains
Nevertheless, our love is still forever true
Her eyes have withered, her skin has now a tint of blue
My baby's dusty and dirty, and wrinkled clothes
And now I notice, the maggots chewed off all her toes
The earth has been rather cruel to my darling sugar
Is that a bug upon her face? oh, it's just a booger
I lean her head back to kiss her cracking lips
And then her neck cracks, also does her hips
I must be gentle, my baby girl's a little rusty
A little dusty, but most of all, a little musty
I notice that, when we lay together on the lawn
We lay till dawn, I notice her left eye is gone
We said goodbye and everything turned out alright
I'll see you again tomorrow night, because I need a...

[Chorus (1x)]

Check it out, b***h!
You ain't getting stank, skank
Get your asses shoveling
and dig you up a lil somthin somthin
Them clamey graveyard b*****s
they DOWN WITH THE CLOWN!! !

you'll never guess whats up[x7]

[Chorus (1x)]

girl that make me happy [x4]

oohhhh!!

I can't say I've met any Juggalos I've had a very positive opinion of. I had one friend who's a juggalo. He ended up more or less scamming me for a car. He'd also generally do immature irresponsible s**t all the time, despite me trying to convince him/tell him not to. Overall a very negative friend to have in my life. That, and his friends were overall worse than him. IE, one of his Juggalo friends tried setting my sister's friend on fire once at a party (but he was high, so it's cool right?) Nice people.

So so true.

I don't think there is really any proof that AS is responsible for any great discoveries or advancements...and also just as not every neurotypical fits in, not everyone with AS is necessarily a misfit. Also everyone judges to an extent so that in itself is not necessarily wrong....however judging someone as a terrible person because they listen to music you don't like for instance and then treating that person like crap would be wrong in my opinion.

Also it is a subculture so of course there are some common characteristics between juggalos, but in my opinion its certainly not deserving of all the hate it gets.....someone should not be hated for being a part of that subculture.

I will be the first person that is completely against this group...their image, their messed up "religion", their face paint, their lyrics, their mediocre music....it is all just trash to me and it spawns a group of ignorant people that think doing things like setting fire to cars is fun along with looting. Immature culture no matter how you try to spin it.

Yeah, pretty much. I'm sure there's nice intelligent ones around, but I've not met one. You can only hope these kids grow out of their period of ignorance. I'd have to say the juggalo subculture is just bad. My juggalo friend/acquaintance, on his own, isn't too bad, but get him with his friends, and he's screwed.

This does not look very fun to me at all.

Exactly 1000Knives, when you have a subculture like this in a group it just gets violent/stupid/drug addled fast.

Well for those who do have something against this subculture, why comment in a thread that unless I am mistaking is for the purpose of people who are a part of that subculture or maybe have friends among people of that subculture to discuss it.? I don't think it was for the bashing of it I mean now days its 'the juggalos' back in the 80's and early 90's it was 'the satanic metal and Marilyn Manson and anyone who looked 'goth' or whatever.' its the same thing sub-cultures get crap from mainstream culture and are typically negatively stereotyped based on the worst individuals they can associate with the subcultures.
