Yes. I do quite like Massive Attack. Mezzanine is a good album . . .

. . . On that note, I was watching television earlier this evening and I stumbled upon a live performance of the Children In Need single 2011 (UK). Whilst I accept Massive Attack's 'Teardrop' is a perennial choice of directors, producers and organisers alike as an anthem of poignancy and emotion, I believe that the dreamy vocals of Elizabeth Fraser are pretty integral to the mood of the song. So, I was a bit perturbed to see that it has been truly desecrated.

It's a little upsetting I must say. From what I can make out I think these wonderful, exalted celebrities are piously trying to guide the youth of today through the convoluted paths of their sorrowful existence by way of the street-shaped language of righteousness. Musically speaking, it is beyond awful and does bleed a rather lamenting 'teardrop on the fire'.

I would rather support Children in Need this year by adopting one . . .

BTW, anyone hear anything about the Burial remix of the whole Heligoland album and when that's coming out?

Daddy Kane said that it was already in progress, I haven't really looked for it too much but did find the Burial remix of Paradise Circus at least. Can't be too far off I suppose if they're already offering singles:
