To end the discussion about mr Beksinski's "silly name" I would like to mention that even though his first name is normal (for a person from our country, of course 
) - maybe a bit old-fashioned, it's quite popular in men in their 40's and 50's - it's his last name you rather should laugh at because it derives from the word beksa which in turn means a cry-baby 
Beksinski was brutally murdered 3 years ago and I remember in that time it used to be a topic number one here in the media. His son who also got some fame here commited suicide 9 years ago.

"On 21 February 2005, he was found dead in his flat in Warsaw with 17 stab wounds on his body; two of the wounds were determined to have been fatal. Robert Kupiec (the teenage son of his long time caretaker), who later pleaded guilty, and a friend was arrested shortly after the crime. On 9 November 2006 Robert Kupiec was condemned to 25 years of prison, and his accomplice, Łukasz Kupiec, to 5 years by the court of Warsaw. Before his death, Beksiński refused a loan to Robert Kupiec".
Kupiec (which means simply merchant in our language) wanted money. I'm not quite sure but I remember that this sum of money he took after the murder was quite small.

Wow, Kupiec sounds like a little b***h. Too bad he cant be locked up here in the US were there are a lot more brothas and latino's
. What I wonder is if Giger and Beksinski had ANY contact with one another. If they didnt then I say thats a dirty rotten shame. I'd LOVE to have seen what the 2 of them couldve come up with had they collaborated. Giger and Beksinski have a lot in common in terms of their work.
