Christy Moore - The Well Below the Valley (a strange Irish folk song about incest and murder that made an appearance in the film The Magdalene Sisters)

The click of my keyboard as I type this.

I am surprised that so many people are apparently listening to music as they read WP. I never listen to music while I'm on my PC. (Unless I'm specifically using the PC to download music.) Can people really listen as well as read and think about what they are reading at the same time? I certainly can't. It's like trying to follow 2 conversations at once. I even find it almost impossible to follow a conversation in a crowded room where there is background noise. And I thought that that sort of problem was a typical symptom of AS!

I do sometimes have background music on while I'm doing something non-intellectual like eating dinner, but not when I have to think about something.

"Apocalypse Please" - Muse

Good times, though I honestly like Black Holes and Revelations better than this album; specifically, Assassin.

Wow, I'm the exact opposite of Rory. I can't stand not having any background music, whether it's playing on my computer or I'm making it myself. With music there, I can drown out that little buzzing sound I hear whenever it's quiet.
<_< >_> What's everybody looking at? I'm not crazy...! OK, so maybe I am. It's fuin being crazy, though. Keeps me on my toes.

Michael Buble, "Spider-Man Theme".

(Yes, he really does a version of the theme from the old Spider-Man cartoons. In Big Band style.)

Japan - I Second That Emotion.

Re. the whole "background noise" issue - I prefer to drown out other background noises by listening to music. If I am trying to write and my flatmate is watching the TV, I will listen to a CD through headphones in order to prevent myself from getting distracted. In my old job we were allowed headphones at work for exactly the same reason.
