See link to Gathering of the Juggalos. Yes, that there is a super positive subculture to be in. As far as "worst individuals" it's the official gathering, headed by the "official" Juggalo people. I don't mean to "hate" juggalo people, just if I think something is negative for a person, I will say so. Based on my personal experience, this is an extremely negative subculture that does not facilitate in building individuals to have good healthy lives.

The other thing regarding pretty much ALL subcultures is they do not foster individuality. You are only conforming to a subculture. For this reason alone, I do not like seeing people involved in any subcultures, as it rubs out individuality. But especially something like the Juggalos, who are known for being, well, negative places to be, rife with drugs and promiscuity (note the 25 pictures of drugs being openly sold at said juggalo fest.)

As I said, I had/have a friend involved with this junk, and it's not done anything at all positive in his life, and I wish he'd snap out of it. So this is personal to me, not just me going "f****n magnets how do they work lololololol."

So many juggalos use drugs, many non juggalos use drugs to, I personally think drug use is a personal choice and should be treated as a health issue instead of a criminal issue of course I have indulged as well so that probably factors into my perspective. Also I suppose I feel doing something positive with ones life is subjective, I mean to some becoming a successful member of mainstream society and buying a big house and a few cars is doing something positive with their life, but then to me that wouldn't be because i see society as flawed. I mean sub-cultures tend to be full of people who feel incompatible with or alienated from mainstream society and maybe even dislike it.....so that is why they clash with the larger society.

Also in the 60's I am sure there were lots of drugs sold at some of the concerts and hippie fests.....in fact I know for certain considering a video about some hippie fest I saw in a college music history class with video footage of obvious drug use and the part where an announcer mentioned some of the 'acid' that was being sold was bad so to be careful about buying it. So to me its really nothing new that such things go on.

You need to keep things relative. If being a juggle is an alternative to joining a (real) gang it is certainly a positive influence. Also, subcultures are nonconformist in the fact they are not dominant, no one is pressuring you to join them.

As far as being a real gang...

This is just another sub culture for people to join the herd and avoid being themselves. The reason I say this is because a man once told me he was unique and a Juggalo. I thought it was ironic he said this.

What if that is who they are as people? If you feel like that's who you are on the inside, that's who you are as a person.

I don't quite care about the music and silly costumes and whatever, but at least in my friend's case, the subculture is becoming a criminal gang.

I see. That really sucks for the Juggalos who aren't delinquents.
