I think they've changed a great deal! I don't necessarily like it as much as the earlier stuff. I also prefer Noel's songs; I don't really like Liam's or Andy's.

And, yeah, Liam is totally a prick. I tell everyone to ignore him. Noel is quite clever and funny.

But they haven't experimented. I think most great bands do.

I dunno. I've been having this discussion with a lot of people. I don't think there's a whole heck of a lot left in music to do. After the '90s everything went to the sh*tter.

I know, well especially with pop and indie music. Oh and rap, hip-hop etc :x

They're kind of underground in the US. The press hates them but they still have fans and gain fans.

Yeah, I agree that people just follow what they put on Top 40 radio regardless of what it is or how it sounds.


With pop radio, they flopped, yes, but they're gigantic on alternative radio. They've had several hits on Billboard's Modern Rock Chart. In fact, "The Shock of the Lightning", their newest song, was the band's biggest hit since 1998's "Don't Go Away" (which was only released in the US as a single) on that chart.

To me, Oasis had four genuinely excellent songs - "Acquiesce" (the one everyone agrees on being excellent), "Gas Panic!", "Don't Go Away" and "Supersonic" - a handful good songs (the singles from "Morning Glory" and "Definitely Maybe" and the non-album single "Whatever") and a bunch of meh songs.

Blur, Pulp and Super Furry Animals were much better, anyway.

Blur won the battle against Oasis in the UK. Back in the mid 90's.
