The Allegro from Shostakovich's tenth symphony.
That's your favourite symphony!
I'm listening to a fan vacillate.
I was annoyed; I don't like listening to the tenth unless I'm suitably fired up, but the four minute second movement came up as part of a complilation album. Now I'm listening to the Tahiti Trot.

If I give my heart to you I must be sure From the very start That you would love me more than her Cause I couldn't stand the pain And I would be sad If our new love was in vain

My favorite part of this two part song starts at 4:04. Please listen to this...
She said: "It looks, don't you think it looks a lot like rain?" He said: "Isn't it? Isn't it just? Isn't it just like a woman?" She said: "It's hard. It's just hard. It's just kind of hard to say." He said: "Isn't it? Isn't it just? Isn't it just like a woman?" She said: "It goes. That's the way it goes. It goes that way." He said: Isn't it? Isn't it just like a woman?" She said: "It takes, it takes one, it takes one to, it takes one to know one." He said: "Isn't it just like a woman?" She said, she said it, she said it to know, she said it to know one. Isn't it? Isn't it just? Isn't it just like a woman? Your eyes - it's a day's work to look into them. Your eyes - it's a day's work just looking into them.

@Magna Well that was hypnotic! I think I'm in a trance now! I agree that the 4:04 mark is where it all begins. I like the background sounds which remind me of rain. Oh wait, that was the lyric. Huh. Deep.

Thanks for listening. I never connected the percussion in the background to rain. I agree with you. Thanks for giving me a new perspective on the song!

It's like that camp game where children sit in a circle and make rain noises building up to a storm by rubbing their hands and snapping their fingers ...
