This was a hit in the UK in the summer of 1983. The vocalist is Alison Moyet, a powerful performance here. The guy on the portable keyboard thingie is Vince Clarke, who had earlier been a prominent figure in Depeche Mode and later in Erasure. I don't think Yazoo lasted very long.

This was Great Britain's entry in the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest, and was in a 4-way-tie for first place with three other songs. Lulu (Marie Lawrie) pretty much disowned it subsequently.
