Around 1978-1979 before the synths took over New wave, power pop heavily influenced the emerging genre. Nick Lowe(The Badger) and Dave Edmonds as solo acts and together as Rockpile were a big part of that.







The above was a British phenomenon the Americans largely missed out on. The following did break through.
