Anything, except the following:

Rap {A friend of mine is a rapper, when he performs,
he sounds like he has an accent, which he does...}

Top 40

Country

Garage-style rock

Heavy metal, and most metal in general

Folk/Bluegrass
{A former teacher of mine is a bluegrass musician,
so maybe this is a bit hypocritical}

I'll listen to anything that is musical. I'm partial to jazz.

I really like jazz and all the sub styles from swing to fusion. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite.

I've been trying to branch out into electronic music but its hard to find stuff I like. So much of it is 4 on the floor BoomCackBoomCack and very rhythmically ridged. If the beat is too repetitive or if there isn't enough melodic/harmonic variation my ears get bored. Though I don't mind the repetitiveness so much in the slower trance chill out stuff. If anyone knows of good electronic music that is very jazz centered please let me know. It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.

Also, everyone should check out the Avett Brothers. Some of the best songwriting I've heard. Some of their earlier work is very musically "loose" with out of tune honky tonk piano and undeveloped vocals but they make it work surprisingly well, not unlike Bob Dylan. They're from my hometown and just recently hit it big. I recommend the gleam and second gleam albums to start with.

I listen to a lot of different kinds of movies (MUSIC :wink: ).

The majority of what I listen to are Film Scores (The Orchestral Stuff). If anyone wants a great website for film scores, soundtrack,s, and video game scores, here you go. www.streamingsoundtracks.com

Next, are the soundtracks followed by broadway.
I listen to contemporary christian, country, pop (love the 90s stuff), oldies, and a little bit of R&B.

That is the majority of what is on my ipod.

LOL. I think you meant music, not movies.
