You have some great choices in there Kagamine. I love the Beach Boys, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Dre, and NWA. Jackie Brown also has some great music. Do you like Smiley Smile or Love You by the Beach Boys? Those are my two favorite albums by them.

Actually, Pet Sounds is the entirety of the Beach Boys that I have heard to date. I will check out your suggestions the next time I have a bit of cash to burn on iTunes, because I think Pet Sounds is just brilliant.

I should probably warn you that those albums are very different, though many fans love them as well at Pet Sounds. Smiley Smile was mostly recorded at home, and Love You is mostly synthesizer.

I also agree with you about Pet Sounds. I love the album and the recording sessions box set. I also really enjoy the unfinished Smile, which would have been the album after Pet Sounds. I believe iTunes has a lot of that material as well, though (in case you don't know) I'll warn you that many of the songs are missing vocals since the recordings weren't finished.

I am not allowed to post links yet due to being brand new but I've been digging Joy Division's 1979 debut album Unknown Pleasures since I first heard it in 2006. That album helped make me into a snob that listens almost exclusively to anything that sounds remotely postpunk or new wave lol.

Hey, Factory Ten, have you ever listened to Cult of Youth? Their self-titled album is pretty good and sounds like a mixture of the Pogues and Joy Division.

I like the basslines from the songs I just heard and I liked their songs "The New West" and "Lorelei". Some of their songs are a little too aggressive for me though. To me, an example of a perfect song is Winter Severity Index's "A Sudden Cold". I love the slow-burning side of post punk and I feel this song has that.
