I've just been listening to Schoolyard Ghosts by No-Man. It's really beautiful, my only criticism being the slight greasiness/breathiness of the singer's voice.

@ Wedge, I love Yes but can't imagine being moved to tears by them. Interesting how we react to different things, like metalheads being lulled to sleep by death metal .

I've never heard a song that's brought me to tears. I don't recall crying since I was a young child. I imagine if one did do that, it would be something like this -

I get a very odd feeling when listening to some of Zappa's music (and the music of other artists, but I've never found any where it happens nearly as much as with Zappa); a mixture of awe, triumph, happiness, melancholy, hope, and more, and it seems as though it's located in my stomach, rather than my head (so I guess it's the kind of thing people refer to when they say 'gut reaction' - it doesn't happen to me very often). It's strange, because one of the main criticisms I hear of Zappa is that despite how technically good his music may be, it's cold, emotionally detached, etc. For me, a large portion of Zappa's music has produced some of the most intense emotional experiences I've had.

This song makes me cry. Why? Because the album it's on was a limited release of 2000 copies, which was promised to be re-released in 2008. It is now 2010, still out of stock and no re-release in sight. And that, my friends, is criminal.
