Hi all. I'm looking for a song. I know what it sounds like, it's pretty well known, I think it's from the '80s, but I totally forget what lyrics were in it, so I can't even enter lyrics into Google in order to find it!
So I have resorted to this. I'm gonna describe the song in other ways so that someone else might be able to put it together.
1.) It might remind you of Spandau Ballet's "True" when you hear it. Synth-driven, etc.
2.) It's in 4/4 time.
3.) Approximately 90 bpm.
4.) The background chords are as such: during verses, spends one bar playing Amaj, spends the next bar on a Cmaj chord. Goes back and forth between those two until the chorus, which starts on a Gmaj for one bar and then goes to Emin on the next bar (but I forget how the rest of the chorus goes).
5.) Lead vocal melody on the verses sounds like this to start off with (eighth notes all): E-E-D-C-Cb-E-A-A-A-G-A-B-G
I think that should be enough to A.) help you know what song I'm talking about, and B.) show you that, yes, I like my guilty pleasures and am not ashamed!
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
