Shadows cast upon the sill
Sleepers lying lifeless, still
Dreaming of bright sunlit skies
Dark-ringed circles mark their eyes
Candles burn down to their end
Last lights, into darkness send
Panes reflect their twilight gaze
The wind outside whispers of days
The herald of a creeping dawn
A sleeper stirs, stifles a yawn
But settles back down into bed
World weary faces mock the dead
Outside the stars begin to fade
The night now gone, it’s moon has strayed

Hey I like it! Reminds me of how I use to write, when I was big into writing poetry.

What is your major influence? What bands do you like - Cause I know alot of music influenced my writing

I like alot of different kinds of music and bands. Nothing that really reflects in my writing though .

i just wrote this as a random piece for fun .
i like writing poems with certain syllable counts per line.
like this one has 7 syllables per line in the first 7 lines.
then the remaining 7 lines have 8 syllables per line.

& it reminds me a little of my own sleeping experience.

It has some good imagery, but it seems to lack a central meaning or metaphor or something like that.

Honestly, it just kinda sounds emo XD

it has meaning if you can find it, just not message-wise, more in the way scattered fragments of memory have meaning to those who can link them to a larger picture. Or through identification i guess i should say.
