Every time I listen to We Didn't Start the Fire, I think the tune honestly sounds so incredibly familiar to Dancing in the Dark.

Don' get me wrong: We Didn't Start the Fire is one of my all time favorite songs, but the tunes just sounds so similar; am I missing something?

The tune is certainly similar, and given the similarity between "can't start a fire" and "we didn't start the fire" it's likely a deliberate reference, yeah.

Hmm.

I don't really hear anything similar but the beat. Similarities in beats are just too common. Other than that, the melodies are totally different. Same with Young Turks by my ear.
