Just wanted to make a thread about them. I like silent movies. Heck, some of them are public domain so youtube has them.

Good thread I'm hooked Buster Keaton at the moment but some I found amazing were:

Metropolis (1927)
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)
Houdini footage

I love the feel of silent movies and they all ways look so beautiful, as I am a horror movie fan one of my favorites has to be Nosferatu.

Nosferatu's another good one.
So is Metropolis.
There are so many one reelers out there I doubt I'll ever run out of new ones to watch either.

The Unknown is one of his movies and the first silent I ever watched. Fantastically bizarre movie.

After seeing his Phantom of the Opera I learned that color predates sound after seeing the color sequence.

Does Invasion of the Body Snatcher count as really old? I love the old Sci Fi classics. And Clash of the Titans is one of my favorite movies of all time, but thats only from the 80s

You're welcome. I may have to use that site a little more this month because Turner Classic Movies is doing that stupid summer under the stars thing and not playing their Sunday Night Silents this month.

I know we were talking about silents but I stumbled across this one which I had no idea "I am Legend" is based on.
