I absolutely love this song. It's an hour long and you can download it, it's their official site.

Blizzard Tracks - Freeform Mix

I'm new to this. How do you download it? BTW, I live for techno!

Go to File > Save, and you should be able to download it then.

also, possibly worth mentioning. It's not actually one song, it's a mix, where DJ's take multiple songs and "mix" them in and out of each other so they match up and sound like a continuous song. It's very popular in electronic music.

That's actually gabber. Gabber's ok, though I still prefer the 4/4 stuff between 130/150 bpm.

This is neither "Techno" nor "Gabber". This is Freeform, a form of Hardcore Techno.

Get your facts straight.

(As a fan of Electronic Music I resent everything under it being called "Techno". Techno itself is a subgenre and doesn't sound anything like this.)

Don't mistake, I'm not dissing it. If anything it kind of reminds of a cd one of my friends had from 1994 called "Trance Hardcore 200 BPM" with Moonraver, Spastikman, Iconoclast, etc. I guess gabbwe's defined by what... distorted 909 base drum? Truthfully I guess your right though - I generally heard two different names for hardcore, happy hardcore and gabber, and typically thought that if it was 4/4 and above 160 bpm then it was generally classed as one or the other.

Yeah, and you gotta keep in mind that Gabber isn't as melody oriented. The main melody is usually something resembling a hoover, and there's no prominent bassline other than the kick.
Wow, they had Trancecore in '94? I only knew about the eras of Jungle/DnB. It's a big shame about how a lot of today's "hardcore" is merely that, sped-up Trance. I used to be so into it, but the abuse of Supersaw leads/pads wore down on me a LOT.

If you ask me, I think old school U.K. Hardcore is the best. It's melodic without sounding too commercial which is a huge plus for me. That reminds me I should probably download some of the older Bonkers CDs. Good times, haha.

Sorry if I sounded rude, like I said I'm a little OCD for genres, haha.

I can guess why. Too much melody clashing?

Cool by the way about having Bonkers.
