Just looking for random thoughts here. Love? Hate? Favorite album?

I started listening to KMFDM after developing an affinity for other industrial bands, particularly Ministry. They’re one of those bands in which I’ve never been fully satisfied with any one album of theirs – a typical album seems to be 10% amazing, 45% decent, and 45% boring and forgettable. I guess that’s unavoidable when you release an album every year or so.

I don’t think they got really good until Naïve (1990), and I stopped listening to them almost completely after Attak (2002). I’ve listened to everything they’ve released since then, but very little has impressed me.

My own personal “greatest hits” looks like this:

I like both the new and old KMFDM. Yea, a lot of the newer albums aren't as good, but they've really stepped up their game lately when they released WTF?! Check out Lynchmob, Come On - Go Off, Spectre, and Amnesia.

Also, I never replied to this thread because I didn't even start browsing WP again until just a few days ago. I guess it was already too far down for me to find it.

I've listened to every new release in its entirety, but I still haven't heard a single song I like as much as the ones I listed. WTF?! is a big improvement on the last half dozen albums, though. It actually makes me excited to hear what they come up with next, which is something I haven't felt since I was waiting for Attak in 2002.
