Hi. Is me again. I want to put this topic, just so would listen to this song. Is called "The Devil Is In The Details" by Boards of Canada, from their album "Geogaddi". I want to know your opinions on this song.

But let me warn you, that those who have a weak or ill mind, shouldn't listen to this song. This song can easily give you nightmares, put you in a state of paranoia, or go insane.

I listened to it, and gave me nightmares that I had to sleep with my mother for one night.

That's because the melody is so confusing that you need time for the melody to develop in your brain.

It bored me enough to stop listening by about 2:30. The distorted warbling about consciousness reminded me of that DJ Shadow album that samples Prince of Darkness.

Ha! I am the only one who voted that it is cool apparently. It kind of sounds like it could fit in a video game. If Brian Eno was watching the Exorcist when he made Music for Airports this may have been the result!

No, it was boring. No clear melody or lyrics and no display of talent of any kind.

For a song to scare me it would have to communicate some kind of true, plausible malicious intent on the part of the singer. Not sure what form that would take, exactly. I'd have to believe they were genuinely intending evil and had decided to stop to sing about it. ^^

the melody is not confusing.
the melody is not there.
it is simply a simple set of notes in a bar that are reiterated to the point of total irrelevance.

there is no larger musical picture which this series of notes heralds, or builds toward ,or even fits within in.

it is a barren recyclic set of notes which are not of interest to me. i am sorry.
maybe i should keep my opinions to myself but you did ask to hear opinions.

volcano's do not get much of a say as to what sprouts out of their heads.

edit: i should not post things like the link i posted in response to troubled people.
so i removed it.
