I was at the Titanic Historical Society in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts a couple of weeks ago and I told the museum curator that I was planning to write a love story that takes place between a stewardess from the Titanic and a deckhand from the rescue ship, the Carpathia. He told me that I'm not the only one planning to write a book based on the disater. Several others are writing books on the subject because next year is the 100th anniversary of the sinking. I'd like some feedback on what you think of my idea.

I like your idea. The Titanic, and the period in which the ship sailed, offers rich setting for a fiction novel. In fact, I'm a Titanic buff myself, and I've written my own little pieces of Titanic fiction (and poetry) in the past. Good luck with your writing.

ooh, i didn't know it's nearly the 100th anniversary. i expect there will be lots of stuff related to it cropping up, and lots of revived interest... so if you're gonna do it now would be a good time...

The amt of interest back when the James Cameron movie played out was absolutely insane. I wouldn't be surprised if the 100th Anniversary doesn't live up to that hype...although they are rereleasing the movie in theaters in 3D...
