I am interested in Painting with Pastels: Easy Techniques to Master the Medium by Maggie Price but have found techniques like blending and smudging after messing around with them briefly...is anyone here experienced with pastels that would like to share some tricks/tips they learned over the years?

My styles of art I enjoy making are fantasy, sci fi, comics, video game inspired and space art.
