This is a VERY rough short video series idea for someone to (hopefully*) animate!
This is the kind of thing I think about when I get bored in the shower or in bed.

Characters: Light (good) dragon, phoenix, gryphon, many unicorns (light allies); Dark (evil) dragon, smaller dark dragons (dark minions)

Video 1: Thunder/lightning. Light dragon's castle crumbles. The land descends into perpetual darkness. Light dragon and allies exit the toppling castle and fly in the dark castle's direction, picking up unicorn followers along the way. (switch to dark dragon's castle on a spire, in volcano environment) Dark dragon's minions perched on the dark castle facing outward, spreading their wings. Dark dragon walks out and roars. (switch to light dragon) The Light party continues to travel, and arrive at the dark castle. War ensues, and members of both parties fall out of the sky in droves as they are killed. The Light and Dark dragons fight on top of the spire. The Dark dragon wounds the Light dragon several times, but the Light dragon kills the Dark dragon in the end. The Dark dragon falls from the spire and dies. The Light dragon stands and roars its victory. (fast fade out)
Music: "Through the Fire and Flames" - Dragonforce

Video 2 (interlude): It turns out that the light dragon has a mortal wound in her neck. She falls down. She is still alive, but her breathing is labored. (slow fade)
Music: None

Video 3: The sky turns light and sunny. Flower petals from trees fall and are blown around by a stream of wind to the light dragon's location. Light allies look up in the dragon's direction. The phoenix is soaring above the scene, and the gryphon comes out of its hiding place (a cave). The gryphon starts flying towards the dragon, and the phoenix joins him a few seconds later. They land in front of the dying dragon, and the dragon smiles at them, takes a final breath, closes her eyes, and dies. The phoenix starts crying, and hugs the dragon's body. The phoenix's tears land in the dragon's wound, and a strange glow emanates from the dragon and grows stronger. Under the spire, the unicorns come out of their shelter and watch intently. (switch back to spire) The gryphon and phoenix watch the dragon in awe. The dragon's eyes open, and she smiles at the phoenix and gryphon. (slow fade out as the dragon starts to smile)
