I want to learn everything there is to know about every thing! I want to embarce my inner aspie-ness. I have no friends and no socail life. I am the most lonely 16 year old girl I know and I need to do somthing productive with my time. I have decided to learn about EVERYTHING! I want a book that makes me think or at least talks about interesting concepts of some kind. I don't really care what it is, just somthing good. Any ideas?? :D

"catcher in the rye" by salinger. if you were a bit older i'd recommend "the human stain" by roth. keep it in mind for a couple years from now.

"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, "Collapse" by Jared Diamond, "Another Bull**** Night in Suck City" by Nick Flynn (a very poignant memoir).

If you want non-fiction you could try:

A Short History of Nearly Everything - Bill Bryson

It is an excellent and easy read that covers more or less everything we know

Remember the "ABCs" of Science-Fiction: Asimov, Bradbury, and Clarke.

These three authors (now dead) kept me sane through my childhood and adolescence more so than any counselor, teacher, or parent ever could.
