In order to get over my stage fright, and generally improve the expression of my voice (I have a few speech impediments), I have created a YouTube channel that will contain my own poetry readings - there aren't many poetry channel on YouTube, which is a shame, because it's such an ancient art (and one with an established oral tradition). I only know about SpokenVerse and Poetry Animations. Would it be alright if link you all to my channel and social media pages? I just want to check before I do anything.

This channel would also dispel the notion that autistic people lack imagination and cannot appreciate poetry - somebody was surprised when I told them I like poetry because "It ought to be difficult for autistic people to understand, since it's full of ambiguity."

I love reading/hearing poetry. It allows me to understand anothers world and experiences with out the urgency of conversation. please post a link as I would love to hear your poetry

Thank you. I posted one up almost two weeks ago. The only thing that has impeded me from recording more is my illness. I'm feeling fit again though. Here is the video - I did a reading of Wallace Stevens' 'The Snow Man'. It's the first one I've ever done (I experience a form of stage fright even when there isn't an audience around me).

It seemed appropriate to post a poem about winter - not only on account of the season but also because of my voice, which has to be reduced to fragile, ice-thin whispering at the moment. My throat feels very hoarse and sore. I thought I'd make the best of my condition by choosing a poem that contains imagery suited to it.

This is my first audio recording, so I hope you'll excuse the somewhat undisciplined quality of the recitation.
