Can't write fanfic anymore

Wrote 43 of them, all now orphaned on ao3. I can't repost them because I've done that too many times. Given up.

Ugh, really? Isn't that the worst? I spent ages criticizing people for not updating things, but then I could feel myself checking out until it was all I could do to finish my last fic. If you don't mind my asking, what were you writing for?

I have a collection of about 50 adventures I've written for AD&D and other role-playing games. Each one has been rejected. Each time a game system is revised, I revise the adventures and re-submit them, only to received the same politely-worded rejection form letter each time. Sometimes I take them out of their folders, re-read them, and wonder "Why bother?"; but it's just something that I like to do.

You have my sympathy.

What's Ao3? What kinds of Fanfics do you write, Punk?

Fnord: Don't give up hope - as they say a lot of famous writers have been rejected countless times. Do you want them only published or would you be happy to share them online for others to use either free of charge or for a small donation/fee? When I was at Forbidden Planet last time I noticed they had a book you could buy with hundreds of backstories and stats/characteristics for characters to use in plots/RP etc. Wish I had the money for it. Ever think of trying to self publish something like that but with your adventures?
