They are mocking a local right-wing fashion for "patriotic outfits". The problem is, the mocked group includes some fairly agressive individuals. So unless you are a martial arts master, it's better not to show up in something like this on a street.
Well that is probably why they are trying to charge them, but its not like Behemoth fans are going to stop buying their T-shirts or going to their shows, if anything it just increases the support. Nergal beat cancer surely he can beat this minor legal hurdle and just get more popular in the process. I mean if they actually jail the band for this.....it will only increase support for them.
But yeah seriously they might get a year in jail or at least Nergal and the person who helped with the T-shirt design not sure if it would be the whole band...
Yes, but actually putting them in prison would only reinforce their fandom and get them supporters even from those totally uninterested in their music. It's political, they could become a cultural face of a large movement of those unhappy with the current direction of Poland – or at least the more radical part of it.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't wear this tee unless in a large group of strong allies. Not because of the law but because of those who deal with being offended with their own fists.
Well I don't have that shirt, can't order it now anyways because I guess they have at least for now stopped selling that particular shirt. Also though in U.S, Colorado people would either recognize it and be happy someone is wearing it or they wont even know what Behemoth is...and just disregard it as 'another stupid satanic metal shirt.' But still after all this uproar I was hoping to get one of these shirts. Initially it wasn't my favorite design but all this controversy its a little more appealing.
Colorado is probably far enough from the "war between Poland and Poland" to be safe

I think we are having a serious problem here if national symbols become associated with "nazis"...

It's similar but not the same thing, I mean sure maybe it offended some peoples sensibilities, but that they could get two years in prison over it is ridiculous?
