Hey, the Skrull invasion is probably the least stupid thing Marvel have pulled in the last year and a half. Next to the idiotic and hamfisted deconstruction of the Spider-Marriage (do a deal with the devil to save your nearest and dearest! Throw away your marriage to reinforce your latent Oedipus complex! It's What Spider-Man Would Do! ), and the Superhuman Registration Act turning Iron Man into a psychopath and Norman Osborn into a government employee, Skrulls simply shapeshifting their way into positions of power makes perfect sense
