Over my years through junior high and high school I found it difficult trying to obtain a girlfriend. My first kiss was when I was a high scool sophmore and that relationship only lasted about 2 weeks because (having Undiagnosed Asperger Syndrome) I had difficulty understanding her affection and difficulty expressing mine. After she dumped me I couldn't help but try harder and harder to understand human behaviour. After years of making my own conclusions on how to act around peers, I slowly became better at understanding my friends and flirting. At one point last year I found a way to manipulate, maybe even "tap into" others emotions (that became a fun little fiasco  !). Now I have a girlfriend and even though we can have little problems, I've learned how to work them out. The point I'm trying to make is: we aspies are born with a lot of lemons when it comes to social interaction. So take those lemons and make some lemonade!! ! (hell, I did). :D

PS: If things keep looking up for me I may start a program to help others out.

Even though having AS sucks sometimes (not relating to people, having no GF) there are some advantages.

My AS has helped me to focus on engineering for many years and now my first company opens for business in Jan 2005.

In my life I have had only a few short relationships. Most of the time I have difficulty acting like an NT in a social setting.

I think adding new traits (confident business leader) will balance out the less attractive AS traits.

Since starting my company I have been acting more like a confident alpha male. I sense that more girls are attracted to me.

I know my confidence will grow as I continue to succeed in business.

I wouldn't be where I am today without AS to socially isolate me and keep me focused.

I agree with Nitraine. I also find that having AS helps me focus on the things I feel are important. I am not very good at multi-tasking, so I think if I had a BF the majority of my attention would be focused on him but as I don't have one all of my energy is directed towards my college work and I will have my degree next year as result. :)

What is your company going to be called? What are its purposes? I assume its an engineering company, but that is a broad category.

What are its purposes?

We have developed a PC based 16 camera video security system.

The system detects an intruder through motion sensors, window sensors, door sensors, and video motion detection.

The system can notify you of an intruder through email, SMS text message, and a voice telephone call.

The system can be controlled through a touch tone telephone, internet browser (Java Applet, ActiveX control), and through a local touch screen.
