i'm pretty much like that. i just sort of naturally fall into that role.

when looking to date, i would be the pursuer (except once, when it was a mutual endeavour). i am less of a nurturer than a provider (though being on similar footing is cool too). i'm the kind of person to put up the drywall and do the taping while someone else makes lunch. when a person needs to step in and start making decisions and taking action, i'm your man... er, woman.

i do have some feminine pursuits and stuff, so it's not 100% but i think most people probably identify with both genders to some degree.

Yes, this is what I was getting at. I'm not comfortable in one-sided relationships, and I both provide and nurture and expect those "roles" from my partners, too. I like a more egalitarian situation. And I don't really like saying, "this behavior is what females do, this behavior is what males do." That's annoying and unproductive, to me. YMMV.

^^Yup, I think it's just about finding a dynamic that works for two people, (ie. that's functional and allows them to feel comfortable in their own skins), more than anything else. Or, at least it should be.

Hey, I'm the OP.
Wow, I didn't know that this thread had been revived recently! I haven't connected here for a while.

Ok, with a lot of thinking these days, I actually decided to transition into a woman.

The thing is that I never identified with being a man, to me being a man was simply to be born with a penis. I felt that I had to accept how things where. I felt like I'd never pass as a woman and that I could simply have a nice life as a man. But I got to a point where I was afraid of dating so much because I was afraid of being seen as a man. I also always felt huge jealousy about girls and what I felt was privilege that they had. I came to realize that this was just me not being in the right role, I was assigned as a man and didn't fit at all in that role. I never actually identified as a man, I just realized that to me being a man was simply having a penis. But being a man or a woman is a psychological thing, it's all about how you feels. I'm not 100% female, nobody is, but I feel much better in that role, it's much closer to who I am than being male. I want to transition because i want to express myself based on how I feels. I'm tired of being seen as a man and feeling forced to express myself in such way.

I have no issues with my genitals though, so I'll never remove them. But I started taking hormones.
I don't know where that will lead me but I can honestly say that I feel much better and so much more confident in myself. ^-^

Btw, I'm a bit screwed up on dating website for the moment though since I can't really say I'm female yet because I still look like a guy but an androgynous one.

As it seems others have already said, I don't think that any particular things should fall specifically into one gender or the other, and that the stereotypes out there don't define us. I don't think it's right to say that only one can be weak or the other has to be stronger or whatever other BS there's been.

More power to you, though, Leviathans. I'm all for whatever makes you comfortable in your own skin. It's a shame that there are those willing to discriminate against anything outside of what is considered normal, like not falling into the trap of gender roles, or having autism or aspergers or really any other differences at all. Still, it's not worth it to let those people control you. So hope things will go well for you.

I have some similarities to the OP, though I'm not really bi. Maybe lesbian trans, but we're not going to go there. hahahaha. This may be why I always enter relationships enthusiastically and then get disgusted and quit a few months later. Often dated tomboys, but none have been quite tomboy enough. Also, dated a buff M-F trans girl for a short time. The idea seems really hot, but in practice, it's kind of like meh. It just doesn't work as well as the imagination says it will.

But then I dated someone who was girly, frail, emotional, and insecure. And that went really well, only my moving/geographical separation ended it; we went strong for 5 months, a record for me. I was able to project my femininity onto her, which allowed me to enjoy being the man. OP, have you tried dating super feminine women and seen if it works for you in a similar way?

It's hard to project femininity onto a girl if she is actually less feminine than you are. So, if you find one who is more, this becomes a lot easier. You can enjoy "girl time" with her but then also be a man, leaving both of you fulfilled.

Well, glad you found what makes you happy. I think I'm rather too manly in appearance and other areas to ever pull it off, however, so going with the other extreme works for me.

Are you with an aspie girl or NT girl who plays the "guy" role?

I am bisexual guy. I just discovered my interest in men recently. I am happy to have discovered that I'm bisexual because there is one thing that has always made feel like I'll never be able to find a girlfriend.

The thing is that I'm very sensitive and emotional. I don't know if its asperger, but when I'm with somebody that I like, I start acting like a little child and I really like to act innocently. But that's not something that most girls find attractive. I always get crushes with guy/girls that are very caring with me. They tend to be older, strong, mature and have ambitions. I don't feel any attraction to the typical younger girl who has very few ambitions. The problem is that most girls wants a men who play the annoying courtship role. I'd much prefer to have the girl role. I'd love to have a girl who leads me, a girl who protects me, a girl who will let me cry on her shoulder. I feel strong insecurity with dating girls because of this. I'm always afraid that I'll never be able to find a girl who will like my sensitive/child-like side and will be okay with a more balanced or even reversed gender-role relationship.

Am I ever going to find a girlfriend? Is there anybody else (guys or girls) who feels the same way as me?

yes, I would prefer that role. I would rather be the submissive partners. I loved girls who do most of the talking, most of the planning.
but sadly, to get a gf you have to ''play the masculine role''

my ex gf was the best example. She asked me out, she planed everything, and she was the one who decide to have sex with me.
I can do the masculine role in dating, or at least try too. But because Im so ''passive'' (or a wimp) and little bit on the ''weird'' side,
it would be best if women took the lead role. But sadly women don't do that role.

The problem is girls who are that confident usually won't consider a guy who isn't perfectly put together, as you've stated. If you ever got to the point where you became confident enough to appeal to those girls, you'd likely not want to take the submissive role anyway.

I'll wager these alpha/superconfident/control-freak(?) women are torn between two desires at the same time... They want to be in total control and need to be able to dominate their male partner - yet ALSO want someone they can respect, which requires them to be equal or better.

Mutually exclusive... quite the conundrum! The only thing I could see working for the mega-domineering female is for her to have a powerful, respectable man also willing to be the sub in a sub/dom relationship... that sure narrows the dating pool. ;)

I love the submissive role. for weird guys like me, that the best way to go. a woman approaches me and ask me out, and carry on the conversation, and I would be her ''sex toy'' I would love to play that role. I can be masculine, I can play the approach role. (well, i am force to play that role,
it's ok)

That what I love so much about my ex gf, she was the perfect woman for me. she didn't care if I was a wimp or weird or dumb it didn't bother her at all. I still pissed off that I ruin it.

there has never a woman ever, that has ever come close to her. My ex gf is the greatest women ever. (even though she refuse to date me again)
I still love her and hope one of these day, she date me again.

or find a woman who is very similiar to her.

Unless you're super hot and buff compared to the men she is used to, that isn't going to work in most cases; even then, it would likely only work with older women with high sex drives. So get lifting.

Men don't mind dating weird acting aspie women but yet women have such problem dating weird pddnos guys.
We need to use proganda to make more women like us weird pddnos/aspie/autism guys.

I'm pretty sure most men do have a problem with dating aspie females. Most NT-aspie relationships discussed on this board appear to be NT female and aspie male.
