Dont know about runescape, but in the games I played, for instances you did in group voice chat was pretty common, so my experiences, upon pretty much girls and woman in MMORPGS relie on voice-experiences, not characters.

I play MMO's but be careful with the girls you meet, some are completely psychotic.

Not to say there aren't normal girls who play MMO's, there are, but in my experience there are ones who are also bat s**t insane. I can give you one good example: One time a friend of mine met a girl on World of Warcraft, they thought they had a lot in common so they started dating. Bad move. As soon as they started dating the girl began to essentially abuse him. It took him nearly three years, a marriage proposal, and an assault case (in which she attacked him, and my buddy's roommate had to get his gun to fend her off, both men were in fear for there lives) before realizing that they weren't meant to see each other ever again.

Should this prevent a man from meeting a girl who plays MMORPGs? Of course not. I've met fantastic women who are very smart, and sane on the MMOs I've played. I think what I am mainly trying to say is "be careful" cause you never know who you might meet.

You don't see them a lot in deathmatch FPS games, that's for sure.

Theres plenty of girls in Runescape. The problem is I played as a girl character for a long time so everyone thought I was a girl irl. Another problem is half of the girls are dudes irl and the last problem is the girls that do play Runescape tend to be 30 year old fat chicks. I'm not attracted to 30 year old chicks yet, i'm only 18.

Does this thread apply to board games or table top games as well? I don't consider myself a video gamer but there've been a few that are very appealing to me. Anyone play Chrono Trigger, Dokapon Kingdom, Final Fantasy, Sam and Max?

Chrono Trigger! <3 You may also wish to try other older SquareSoft games, all the ones I've played from the SNES era were daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn good.

And also, pertaining to Runescape, my mother plays that, and she's...uh...48.

At first I thought this would be one of those annoying "Girl Gamers are the best" threads you see much on other forums. Glad to see that it's not.

Also, you know what they say G.I.R.L. stand for Guy In Real Life.

Be careful in MMO games, a lot of dudes pretending to be girls.

No, because I hate MMOs (Rpgs) - no story, no sense .... all teens slashing each other for obsessive leveling up, chat chat chat - totally mindless. Nothing beat the old school rpgs like FF, Baldur's gate, Fallout and their ilk.

Most MMO games have bad graphics in comparison to games like The Witcher 2 and Skyrim as well, I have heard an MMO games in Asia are using CryEngine though so it won't be long before Western ones do as well.

I aim for graphics like this, these are shots I have taken of Cry Engine 3 and CryEngine fourth generation game engine.

CryEngine is the future and the great thing is that CryEngine is a free SDK for anyone to use with C++

CryEngine 3 Real Time Architecture, imagine the graphics being that good in an MMO.

Graphics aren't enough for a good game.

I personally preferred Witcher 1 over the 2 despite the latter had much better graphics. The 1 was bigger, larger world, darker, and had more compelling storyline, a true PC game. The 2 is console-ized game.

A high end gaming PC costs 2000-3000, a retro console costs hardly anything therefore your argument is irrelevant.
