If they are essential for olympic sports, why does practically every major sport (including the olympics) outright ban them and disqualify/discharge anyone caught using them?

That would mean everyone winning isn't using them, therefore they would not be essential for those sports. In fact, on a professional level they would play no part in most sports period outside of cheating.

Because it's bad publicity to allow them. It's "banned" in Mr. Olympia and most strongman competitions as well. In practice, the rules just state that you shouldn't get caught, not that you shouldn't do drugs.

Thinking that Lance Armstrong is the only juicer in le Tour de France is incredibly naive. The UCI president denies responsibility because he's a sociopath who'd lose his position if he were to tell everyone that he knew all along about Armstrong's little secret and that nobody who've gotten a medal in le Tour de France for the past 40 years has been clean.

Before the newspapers create a massive scandal again, I'd like to point out that Usain Bolt is on gear as well.

I won't be sure about the correlation of juicing in pro athletes. Sometimes I think it's a given and other times I give them the benefit of the doubt.

Quote:

The acceptance of drug-taking in the Tour de France was so complete by 1930, when the race changed to national teams that were to be paid for by the organisers, that the rule book distributed to riders by the organiser, Henri Desgrange, reminded them that drugs were not among items with which they would be provided.[16] In a 1949 interview with Fausto Coppi, the 1949 and 1952 Tour winner, he admitted to amphetamine use and said "those who claim [that cyclists do not take amphetamine], it's not worth talking to them about cycling".[17]

Yep the human heart is a muscle and the body's main organ, so steroids would obviously f**k with it. Makes them sound pretty scary IMO.

By the way doesn't this thread belong in the "Health, Fitness, and Sports" board? :?

Well, except Robert Cheeke... but that's because he gets far too obsessive over women he falls for, is far too into his celebrity lifestyle for my liking, and also he has a strangely shaped head.

How do your natural bodybuilding chums look like? Since you love to post pics, show me examples, I am curious to see how natural they look.

To each their own but while I do wish I could go back to working out as I did in the past when the veins start marking is very off putting for me

I dont really care that much about where a thread is located to be honest.

I was thinking this has turned into more of a fitness thread, too, unless we go back to discussing preferred body forms it just seems like a fitness thread IMO.

Not sure about this, his veins....look steroid-ed

But I admit he looks way better than the others - maybe he's not steroid-ed after all.

The veins are off putting to me also, as well as other things. I have an irrational fear/repulsion for veins though, maybe that is why I don't like overly musculer guys.

It's because mainly about women's attraction toward steroid buffs.

^^^
Maybe I'm just weird but in the women's section in the thread on "best male body" - I did not see even one I liked. Nor in this thread - most of the ones in this thread just scare me.

To be honest, that what a lot of women tell me about such buffs (yuck, disgusting, scary, too muscled...), like more than 70% of them so I am not complaining.

But I have noticed more female instances on this site who like such bodies than I've ever seen in the normal population, I am not sure if it's a western thing but I have an another theory:

A lot of girls on this site are into "guys stuff" (or were so in their childhoods) like comics, games, action figures, typical guy series/shows ...etc, so maybe they developed admiration toward steroid-ed bodies like a lot of boys do.

Makes sense?

Oh oh, I am psychoanalyzing others now!
