There's a reason those people are still single!

And I don't think it's about physical appearance or money at all. I think these women have these criteria for the sole purpose of discriminating against most of the people who want them.

If these women have such criteria for that purpose (which I don't think is the case), then they aren't worth getting anyway. Though I think that they have the criteria more so that they can parade around with their trophy boyfriend/husband, about whom they can brag to their "friends." Either way, not a woman worth pursuing.

I think, first things first: why not value yourself more? What do you believe you can offer a potential girlfriend/wife?

I wanted to go to Boise State, but there are no single Aspie women in Boise. And nobody from another part of the country is going to just drop what they're doing and move there.

Nor will they drop what they're doing and move to where you are now. :?

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but I will be upfront: this has been going on for over 100 posts in this thread already, and it doesn't seem like you are closer to any resolution. You need to decide which one is more important to you right now, getting a girlfriend/wife, or getting a degree. And if you're not sure, there's no reason you can't do both at the same time. You worry that there are no Aspie women in Boise. Well, are there Aspie women where you are, and fit your criteria? Apparently not, because you're still looking. So you have no girlfriend now, maybe you will have no girlfriend in Boise. It wouldn't be a change in the romance department, but at least you'd still be working on the degree! And you'd be out there meeting people, some of them may actually be Aspie but they just don't broadcast it over the Internet. If you stay in Texas, you can still go out and meet people, but you won't be making progress towards a degree. The way I see it, going to college is a win-win situation.

You said earlier that you weren't sure if people 18-22 would be interested in you. Well, your insecurity about that is not going to change, whether you are at college or still where you are. You should realize that at college, the 18-22 people are not the only people you will meet, unless you want it that way. Same goes for Texas: you will meet only the people you want to meet. Everything is pretty much going to be the same, except that in one scenario, you will be in school doing something you love, and in the other scenario, you won't. I'm not saying that you have to go to Boise; if you want to go to an area that is more liberal, then go right ahead and do so. If you would feel more comfortable with your life by not going to school and devoting your efforts towards finding a mate, then go right ahead and do so. But posting on WP repeatedly about how your situation is not improving is not going to help anything. You need to focus on improving your own situation.

Again, sorry for the forwardness, but you gotta take control.

It just upsets me that single Aspie females are become more scarce, and that single NT females are becoming more shallow.

I feel that in order to keep an NT girlfriend, I would have to be completely submissive to her. All my life, I have been submissive to people because I felt I had to be--and it's not just my romantic life--it's *every* aspect of my life. When will it be my turn to make my own decisions?

You get to make your own decisions when you decide to. If you're completely submissive to a girl, unless she's a dominatrix, she'll probably think there's something wrong with you. You need to treat a girl as your equal, not as a mistress.

And I agree with Stinkypuppy - there are other aspie girls out there other than the ones listed on the internet. Even some NTs with aspie-like traits.

I registered at gk2gk.com, which is a dating service for geeks--potential Aspies. I searched for people within 50 miles of Boise, and there was only one person in that area.

She will only date someone with a steady job, which I will not have if I am going to school full-time, and she mentioned that she was very socially conservative, and I am looking for someone who is socially liberal.

As far as finding a single Aspie woman in Boise, my only hope is that someone will just drop what she's doing and move up there.

And then I found out that gk2gk.com is not free, and that it costs $9.95 a month or year (I don't remember which one) to send or receive messages. And my parents won't allow me to use dating services. They read my bank statements, so I can't just simply get a debit card and pay the fees.

Okay, here's something that may work :)

Take your list of criteria. Print it out on a piece of paper. Proceed to rip it to shreds.

Seriously, criteria is USELESS in the real world. Fantasy people don't exist.

I mean, my criteria for the perfect man is a little on the picky side...he'd be just under 6ft, fairly muscular, definitely NOT hairy, Kiwi-Japanese (got picky?), an artist or designer of some kind, and own a GC8 STi ;) I also prefer about 3 years older than me. Funnily enough, my man is 3 years YOUNGER than me, owns a GC8 NA (STi FTL!), is rather skinny, just so happens to be a redhead, and currently works at a tyre shop  Do I care that he didn't make one single point on my criteria sheet? NO. He's not straight out of my fairytale mold, but I still love him to pieces.

Once you take off the filters, you WILL get some crap (read: tramps, biotches) but you WILL find some gems you never thought you would. Don't look for that perfect woman, you'll never find her. If she exists, she'll come to you.

Maybe you already answered this one, but why are your parents all up in your business? You're a grown man.

If you're an adult and your parents are controlling you like this, you have bigger problems than finding a woman.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but if you're that picky with it you're never going to get anyone. Then you come here and complain because no Pamela Andersons take your fancy.

 end of thread. Pwned. Game over.

I find absolutely abhorrent, the concept of creating a "list" of ways in which a potential mate must conform to your "ideal".

To compose a ~mental~ checklist is one thing; to blatantly state what you do or don't want is another matter entirely.

Eg: "I am this, I'm not that; I want this, I don't want that...............come get me girls"
(for the record, I've seen a number of women singles doing this also)

How lame.

yeah.

I more or less pissed of a couple of cheerleaders yesterday.

just because I didn't like the cheerleaders at my high school.

Now, I need to appologize to the girl.

Dang it.
