Honestly girls, what are the bad heights?

lol Many don't. It's not because they're being intentionally misleading, as far as I can tell. They just have a different perspective of what some words mean and expect the man to 'get it'.

I'd like to hear more about this.

That's about the extent of my knowledge. I've been unable to figure out why so many women are inflexible and indirect beyond this. It may have something to do with tact, but I'm unsure.

Personally, I find it annoying.

Really? You would consider yourself more direct than most women?

As a teenager, I never really understood the jokes about 'never knowing what women think', 'never understanding women', or 'having to put up with women' that so much of society (even the females) seemed to grin at. It was also a component of the jokes about how 'terrible' marriage was (followed by a chuckle). This sort of behavior confused the hell out of me. Then I finally got to university and experienced it first hand (which is what pushed me to join this forum), and now I see exactly what they meant. But I still have no clue why pseudotelepathy is so common among females when it's so obvious that it doesn't solve anybody's problems.

When I think of a successful man, I think of a man who accomplishes his goals.

When I think of an accomplished man, I think of a man who has built his life into what he has envisioned it to be.

When I think of an ambitious man, I think of a man who sets goals and works hard to see them manifest into reality.

When I think of an ethical man, I think of a man who weighs the right and wrong actions in a situation and chooses the right actions.

When I think of a moral man, I think of a man who doesn't even consider the wrong actions an option in a situation.

Personally, I may not be attracted to all successful, ambitious, accomplished, ethical or moral men. Their goals may be wildly different from me to an extent that they're oppositional. Money is not everything to me and I get turned off and grossed out by extravagant spending and demonstrations of wealth. And while I am speaking about myself, I know that I cannot be the only woman on earth who feels this way.

Ambition and success aren't just measured by career and monetary wealth. I consider my husband ambitious and successful, but we are by no means wealthy.

He is one of the big wigs in the company he works for, though.

Question is.. would you consider him ambitious and successful if he could only afford a small apt. and held a barely above entry level job despite his personality being the same?

Yes. I started dating him before he had any type of job and lived with his parents.

I find girls that are just a head shorter than me to be very sexy and beautiful ... im 5'7 so 5'3~5'5 is great. Hugging or kissing a girl thats as tall or taller than me is just plain weird in my opinion.

do women have something like this but in reverse? (to prefer taller guys but not way taller than themselves?)

I've always been a very direct person. I was lectured time and time again as a teenager for my lack of 'tact'.

Like you, I really didn't understand all the jokes cracked about this until I left high school and experienced more of the real world. Why so many women do it still baffles me. If you want something bad enough... SAY SO! Hints only go so far, and substituting words that mean something else only confuses the people around you.

Alright. So how exactly is that 'successful' ? Not trying to be an ass im just curious. Most women I know would probably listen to him talk about his ambitions but see his current condition and...well talk is cheap.

I don't think there is any 'bad' height. To me, height means very little.

Less than 5' would feel weird, I think. When I was younger, I thought I wouldn't want to date anyone over 6' because the height difference would be awkward (I'm 5'4"), but I don't think so anymore. I do still think being much more than a foot taller than me would be awkward, though, so I suppose anything less than 5' or about 6'6"+ are "bad heights" to me.

To me, height means how tall someone is. But I could be wrong on that, too. Nobody seemed to agree with my definitions in >this comment< so I could be off-base in this discussion.

I would still be with him and he would still work as hard as he does now to provide for the kids and me. If we hadn't had kids, I would be working and contributing, as well, though I'm not a very ambitious person.

I kind just roll with the punches and make the best of what I'm given.

I actually agreed with your definitions there.
