Living with parents kind of puts the kibosh on dating?

From what I’ve seen they say it’s not ok for men to live at home but fine for women, so it certainly seems directed at the lonely aspie men who live with family and who struggle to find gf and wanting them to stop complaining since it’s their fault for living with family.

Also a lot of women my age and younger have the same mindset so it’s more sexist then ageist.

Hey sly, I thought you had someone you were dating now. So you can't play the "lonely loser aspie guy" card any more. Or did it end badly, putting you back in the same situation?

Don't worry, you can do what Aspie1 does and sex some hookers. (Hint: if they have an outtie they're male, and if they have an innie, they're female.)

Wow. Now this was certainly an attack on sexless men, sly. Bea, why so rude and heartless? :?

IKR?!?!

WOW, Bea!

It’s not funny to insult or make fun of involuntarily celibate men. Grow up. Sly doesn’t deserve ridicule from either of you.

just wondering - would you give the same advice to your son if he were a dateless person?

Or her daughter?

Somehow I doubt it. I also doubt she would insult their ability to differentiate between males and females, either. It seems that’s a special type of cruelty reserved for sexless single men like sly.

Truth.

Speaking of which, I had a one week ban for my honest feedback in Bea’s thread where she a asked if she should become a counsellor for autistic people and I said no, not unless she treats them differently in person than she does on here what with her discouraging members from helping homeless kids and trans people, calling me “reprehensible,” and now her new thread that started out to bash young people and has devolved into her being.. unpleasant to sly.

I realize she’s autistic, but this behaviour is beyond missing a few social cues and well into the offensive range.

Probably. She will claim she meant it as a joke and had no idea it was a hurtful thing to say to someone we all know has extreme difficulties with dating and then will be allowed to carry on with impunity.

To the best of my knowledge, "sex" as a verb means to assign gender to. It does not mean have sex with. So the usage "Most escorts I sexed were over 25" was pretty hilarious.

Actually both my children moved out shortly after high school, and had active dating lives within a short while. So moving out was indeed what I would recommend to my son and daughter, if they wanted a girlfriend/boyfriend. I am virtually certain I would not have approved of everybody they dated. This way, it was not an issue, passing muster with mom.

I think BeaArthur has earned the right to be hurtful.

Sly is not “sexless.”

He’s a good guy. I hope his date went well.

If this is legitimately what you intended to communicate, then perhaps you’re not being evil.

I thought you were telling sly to go bang some hookers and then poking fun at his lack of sex life by explaining how he can tell the difference between a male & female sex worker.

No she meant it as an attack on me, one of many she’s done.
I won’t break the law nor do I want to have sex with a stranger who doesn’t like me and probably has stds and who might be being forced into it.

As for moving out. I rent with my family. If I move out they become homeless. To move out and make them homelsss under false hope that it’ll make me more dateable(it won’t), seems super selfish. If I ever got a gf I’d have to eventually live out and cause the horribleness. I hope at that point they’d understand, but to do so now so I can live alone and be totally cut off from all human contact would just seem incredibly selfish and damaging to me and them for no freaking reason. I wouldn’t do well completely alone. I’m already pulled back from society, if I lived alone I’d not even have family in my house to talk to and since I rarely leave my house, and am losing my job, I’d only every have human contact when I go to get groceries and soon I’d be able to have them delivered so I’d become a total shut in like my half sister, but not as she has a bf.

We rent together and split everything 3 ways. They can’t afford this place without me. It’d also take years of being homeless before I’d get housing. I don’t have a parent to live off until I get it like Beas daughter did.i imagine ,my situation would deterate fast and I probably wouldn’t live long enough to get approved for housing. There’s a long list of people and it’s always full so you’re waiting for someone to die or get kicked off and talk their spot.

 You people need to either get thicker skins or develop your own senses of humor.

But if you really feel that Bea is bagging on you, stop trolling her, and report her.

Lots of us are just pointing out that she's being unrealistic. There are empty houses enough for every homeless person in this entire country if they're just fixed up & OP is also ignoring the fact that many people under 30 just don't average enough income to cover rent half the time.

Again, I've worked for the majority of a decade among technology companies & every last one of them scoffed at the idea of paying me enough to get by, if anything.

To me, that would be something of a deal-breaker. Do you agree?

I couldn't agree more. My dating prospects greatly improved after I moved out of home. Living by yourself is ideal. It's so convenient to have a place to take your date home to and then you can both have some private time together
