So it's okay to mock ugly chicks? Or even the non-chicks?

(just joking :D , you can have your fat fervor... someone will appreciate your intensity)

Anyways, actually what I think I don't like is the way she's presenting herself... and this holds true whether she's overweight or not.

It's just emphasized more because of her large belly.... which changes from presentation disgust... to man that's really nasty.

It's not that you were mocking them. It's that you were mocking unfairly. She had a large belly, but was also quite well proportioned, not exactly morbidly obese.

Well, to be fair, Anubis, I don't think that Pugly was mocking the girl. He's just expressing his view. I happen to think that bulging bodybuilder veins are hideous, but I'm not mocking the guys by saying so. I'm just saying I personally have no interest in touching one.

Looking at the picture a tad more, you're right... she isn't really that big actually. It's just the way she's standing with her pants unzipped... emphasizing her belly like that... it's not flattering and looks gross, to me, in my subjective, personal non-judgmental opinion.

If she was standing on the street in normal clothes and not looking ridiculous like that, I wouldn't mock her. And could even be attracted to her, depending on how she was presenting herself to the world.

Historically speaking obese women have always been more attractive until the mainstream post modernist era. Back when being well fed meant status, large women where coveted; now skinny women (those that can afford the tae boe, oragic food and bottle water as a means of sustenance non stop and can afford liposuction after childbirth and getting breast implants) have mainstreamed into a sociologically implanted and accepted modicum and pinacle of beauty.

Well Tempy, that depends on How large. I dont believe for a moment that Obesity was ever viewed as being attractive with the exception of places like the polynesian islands where everyone is that way. I dont think you will find many women who like really fat, obese men. If a woman's belly is noticeably MUCH larger than her hips, butt, and bust then thats too large as far as most men are concerned.

Fatter people are definitely regarded as more attractive in the Polynesian islands. Especially fatter women. Not everyone in the islands is fat, but the fatter ladies get the attention.

Urgh, liposuction is gross. Artificial "beauty" is outright gross, yet it is portrayed as the "ideal" for various stupid reasons. Ultimately, cosmetic surgery for the purpose of conforming to the media ideal is superficial , and shows insecurity in people who have the money and choose to modify their bodies to such an extent. It's fake and disgusting.

I heard that in the 18th and 19th centuries, plump, overweight women were actually in vogue because it was a symbol of wealth.

But then, why would they wear corsets to constrict their tummies in?
