Partnership. Someone that I could bounce ideas off of with a similar outlook and principles as myself who wouldn't be bias as I would in any given situation that I had to make a choice in. Someone to tell me when I'm being stupid, someone that I could care for in the same fashion. Someone that could share the same interests and passion that develops therein when 2 people share that. I get intense and excited about my interests as is, but with another person with the same, it just gets that much stronger, as it feeds off one another.

And of course sex would be a consideration after the above. Shallow as it might sound, I'm far to practical to be romantic and think sex isn't something that can and will shatter a relationship. So, it would be for sex as well.

I'm very happy being single and so I didn't want a relationship until I met this cute, intelligent, amazing man... it was sort of an accident. Now I really want to date him.
I guess I changed my mind because:
1.) I like being around him. He's really good company.
2.) We had sex is very good and we're sexually compatible.
3.) I just feel really comfortable and really safe and at ease with him.

Hmnn I was in a don't want phase these last months. The other day I went back to undecided. Thought experiment: If I had a gf during that last party I would have been able to spend all/most of the time dancing instead of dealing with annoying relatives/acquitances, the whole night would have ended much sooner and I wouldn't have the problem I have right now (I have to get rid of a new party invitation that was caused by me staying in the table )

Why do I want a girlfriend? I want someone who I can trust with my very soul, who will support me in my darkest hour (and, of course, I would reciprocate). Also, I crave intimacy (not so much anything sexual, but I am a touchy-feely kind of person) to such an extent that a mere friend could not fill this position...

Another thing is that I want someone to spend the rest of my life with... to be able to know that she will still be there even if I royally screw up would be the happiest moment in my life... of course, given how readily many couples divorce, this is just a fantasy now...

It's more or less the same for me, although I do believe the importance of sexual compatibility and shared interests should not be underestimated if you want to keep the relationship interesting for both sides.

There are a couple reasons why I want a girlfriend.

One reason is for companionship. I truly would like someone who I can be around and do things with in addition to being a friend that I can talk to.

Another reason why I want a girlfriend is because I want to get married someday. Furthermore, I also would like to have sexual intercourse with a woman. However, due to personal and religious reasons, the time has to be within a fully committed martial relationship.

I hope this answers your question.

fitting in

that's it really, I am slow to care for anyone
sex is a bonus but its mostly about fitting in and looking normal
though you don't need any sort of commitment to screw someone

I have reasons for not wanting a girlfriend. First of all, I like talking to my friends, but not every day. I need a freaking break, you know? But when you date someone, you have to talk to them every day, all the time, yada yada yada. If you don't call her every day, she gets worried. Can't get off the phone to go to wing night with your buddies, cause she takes it personally. She thinks you are going out to cheat on her, or I don't freaking know. Geez. The second thing is this whole idea of taking the relationship to the next level. I don't have a next level. Well, I have two levels. The first level is talking about stuff, and hanging out, and being there for someone, the second level is sexual stuff. Too many girls are looking for a guy to settle down with. I don't want to settle down! The third reason is that girls stalk me. I've been stalked a couple times, and it's really annoying. I don't know what it is that's so great about me, but they just don't know when to let me go. The fourth reason is that I have enough things I have to deal with at the moment that a girlfriend is unnecessary baggage, even if she is great or whatnot.

That doesn't make sense. The title is "What is your reason for wanting a boyfriend or girlfriend". You then say "This isn't another one of those "What are you looking for in a boyfriend/girlfriend?" posts. This is why you personally feel you want a boyfriend/girlfriend.

BUT, then you say "For example, I would like someone whose physical appearance appeals to me visually who I can also have good conversations with and feel on the same page as."

The problem with that is that you answer a question that you didn't ask. You said that you didn't want "what are you looking for in a boyfriend/girlfriend" answers. But your answer WAS a "What are you looking for in a boyfriend/girlfriend" answer.

I want to get a girlfriend and be a married man because it's a norm in human nature. I feel much happier and more relaxed whenever I socially interact with women than when I'm by myself most of the time.

Man I got the basic number of reasons looking for a girlfriend I'm looking for someone to be with mainly, Sex can wait till marriage, Plus after marriage I wish to pass on my blood if that isn't too odd of a desire. In short I'm looking for a soul mate

Looking back on this, I'm less lonely than I when I started this thread. You have to be happy by yourself before you're happy with someone else. Some people on here in particular, if they met a boyfriend/girlfriend, would scare her off with their desperation.

But I stand by what I said...if it weren't for physical appearance, I probably wouldn't want female companionship of any kind. Does that make me shallow? I don't mind saying that it does. But a lot of people are the same way.

I should clarify. If I'm strongly physically attracted to a woman, I want to get to know her better and spend more time with her. If I'm not physically attracted, I have no interest. From there, I prefer that we have SOME things in common, but not everything and that she can offer a different perspective.

I think a lot of guys on here just want affirmation that "There's an Aspie girl out there that likes the same things as me that I can have sex with" and frankly, I'm a little creeped out by that idea.
